Oregon Scientific Candle Aroma Diffuser

This item 'looks' well made and has a great LED candle light feature. But as far as diffusing aromatherapy for which I intended it's use, it is not a quality product.

The 'heating' element is a small red lamp at the base of the reservoir and is not strong enough to diffuse the essential oil into the room at all. The heating element also turns off automatically after only __mins and the light after 180mins, which is frustrating when I have to constantly turn it back on throughout the day.

These things being said about the poor quality of the diffuser, it actually stopped working altogether after about a weeks worth of use. (only a few hours a day)

It stopped turning on even when fully charged, in fact the red blinking light that indicates its charging stopped working and when you push the button to turn it on the light stays on for 1-3 seconds before going dim and turning off. When you push the button twice for the heating element it shuts off instantly.

I am returning this product and spending twice the price for a quality diffuser(H2EO). With this product you certainly get what you pay for.

I bought this because a few of the reviews looked good, it looked pretty and it was affordable. However, this thing really isn't worth it. I returned it and bought an Aromis nebulizing diffuser, which I love. This one really just functioned as one of those crappy LED fake candles. I didn't try it in water or anything, because I just bought it to diffuse essential oils. However, I could not smell the oils I was diffusing AT ALL. I don't even think that the unit got hot enough to diffuse anything. If you're looking for an overpriced LED candle with a cute shape and cute films..this is the right one for you.

From what I've seen in my few weeks of searching for the right diffuser...you pay for what you get.

This is such a nice flamless diffuser:) It is very functional and protable. I have been searching for something like this for so long. I have purched many from other comanys but you guys are the best ! I've had this diffuser about a week and love it. I use this one for aromatherapy. I bought two more, which haven't arrived yet: one for aromatherapy and the other for flower essences. I have the diffuser sitting on my island in the kitchen. The low-price is awesome. The design is awesome. Thanks, guys, for designing and selling this bundle of cuteness. In my case, the diffusers won't be used in a bath or pool--they will remain on counters and desks. I don't quite understand the "water" angle. I use one drop of aroma and it lasts a whole day.

The films are a nifty decorative feature; it took a bit to figure out what the triangular cylinder was (the films). I looked all over for the films until figuring out they came coiled up. I unfolded the films and installed one.

Flower essences are far more delicate than aromatherapy. Aromatherapy is so overpowering that, I suspect, if a diffuser is used for aromatherapy even once, it shouldn't be used for flower essences. The two aromatherapy diffusers will have one pattern of film whereas the flower essence diffuser will have a different pattern. The film difference will be how I'll tell the aromatherapy diffusers from the flower essence diffuser.

I have twenty-years of experience using flower essences in helping in the rescuing of domestic cats (shortand long-term). Aromatherapy is relatively new to me.

I recommend this product. It's one of those products that is so user-friendly you just have to have one.

I had the privilege of traveling to Israel and the Dead Sea area several years ago. While there, I purchased some Ahava skin care that is made with the salt and minerals of the Dead Sea. I started taking salmon oil pills several years ago as an anti-inflammatory. I also take Carlson multi-vitamins, and find them worth the money. One suggestion -if your stomach is sensitive in the morning, take them at night or at meals.

I've taken omega 3 supplements for years. Flaxseed oil, fish oil, etc. Even took Carlson fish oil softgels. Since I started on the Carlson Salmon Oil softgels, I have seen a noticeable difference in my complexion. I take 3 a day and I've had many people tell me I "glow". I see it too! I've been shaving with a DE Safety Razor for a little over 5yrs and this is the best pre-shave oil I've experienced; by far. I have SUPER sensitive skin and this product has allowed me to become razor bump free. Finally!

Pros:

Rather benign scent; it doesn't feel like a bottle of cologne threw up on your face

Packaging. Bottle is actually plastic and has a dispensing tip that makes it easy to portion out into hands.

Consistency. Not very oily. Some other brands I've used have either been super gummy remaining on hands, face, razor and brush or too watered down to have any effect. This product seems to strike the perfect balance.

Cons:

Packaging. The cap that covers the tip can become dislodged if you throw this into a gym bag or travel case.

My husband and I have been using Lever 2000 since our honeymoon cruise in 2000. Unilever has changed products now and this new stuff is awful. It smells terrible. I felt like I smelled like Good and Plenty candy. There is nothing natural or appealing about the scent. Don't waste your money.

I received this today. I set it up in my living room and...nothing. Perhaps I should wait longer, but I have to say I could only smell it when I held the bottle under my nose. :( I don't like scents that are overpowering and tend to choose lavender for its aromatherapeutic qualities and real (non-synthetic)smell. I selected this product to make a nighttime treatment for my hair loss. I found this treatment in a book called "The Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy". It called for 4 ounces of cider vinegar, 20 drops of carrot oil, and 10 drops of rosemary oil. I selected my carrot oil from this site because I wanted to benefit from its pure qualities. This particular brand has an earthy smell and is suppose to strengthen the hair as it grows. I place the formula on nightly and it works as well as my alopecia prescribed medication that I stopped using because of negative side effects. I love this oil brand and using essential oils. I'm a guy and I don't like having to think a lot about my skin routine. I want my skin to look good, not break out, and not break the bank. Also, I don't want to be rubbing chemicals into my face every day, so I try to stay with products using primarily natural ingredients. Easy, right? It turns out that it's hard to find good products at reasonable prices, especially when it comes to toner.

First, why toner: I've learned over the years that you really do need all three basic steps in daily skin care: cleanser, toner, moisturizer. For some reason, guys especially tend to ignore toner. (Toner and aftershave are not necessarily the same thing. Most aftershaves, especially the cheap, chemical concoctions, are a waste of money unless you really just want the fragrance and alcohol.) Of the three essential steps, cleansing is harsh and drying, while moisturizing can be heavy and packed with synthetic chemicals. Toner bridges that gap. It lets you take it easy on the other two while still keeping your skin nice and balanced. A good toner both cleanses and moisturizes while adding some helpful properties to keep skin healthy.

When I first began using toner on a daily basis, it was really just an experiment to see if it made any difference. I kid you not, within days I actually had a couple of people ask how I kept my skin so nice (and that's certainly not something most guys ask each other unless they really want to know.) Even my adult brothers, who understandably have skin a lot like mine, pulled me aside and asked me what I was doing to keep my skin so clear and balanced. Needless to say, I started taking toner a bit more seriously.

When my original "sample-sized" toner ran out, I started a search of toner options for everyday use. It turns out, skin toner is pretty expensive. If you are a little bit discriminating about the ingredients (witch hazel and some appropriate essential oils are a good place to start), you can easily wind up paying several dollars per fluid oz. In terms of "natural" toners, I found a couple that I liked. For example, Waleda smooth shave toner is a nice one, but at $20+ for 3.4 fl oz it really adds up for daily use. Too many other toners, like Burt's Bees Clarifying Toner, are based on salicylic acid, which is the same acid used to burn off warts and calluses. A little salicylic acid may make sense from time to time, but it's hardly something I want or need to rub on my face every day.

Cool Clarity's Facial Toner is the best option I've found that balances value, function, and ingredients. With Witch Hazel (a natural astringent and a good alternative to harsher salicylic acid-based products) and a pleasant blend of essential oils, Cool Clarity leaves my skin lightly fragranced, feeling refreshed, and not needing a heavy layer of moisturizer. At only $12.50 for 8 fl oz, Cool Clarity's Facial Toner is less than 1/3 the cost per fluid oz versus many comparable products.

My wife, who has naturally incredible skin, started borrowing this from my side of the vanity and now she's using it on a regular basis as well. Enough said!
