We do NOT need to strip the natural oils from our hair and then replace them. We simply need to clean any dirt from our hair. I have coarse, dry hair and it does better using Wen products that do NOT have the harsh foaming agents. I have used a number of Wen products, and the classics seem to be the best (Sweet Almond Mint cleansing conditioner and styling crème). Would not buy this particular item again, but I like Wen overall.
