Martek Labs supposedly processes the algae with the toxic, petro-chemical based hexane. Because no residue is left, they don't have to list it, but it's nasty stuff. Read the Cornucopia Institute's report on soy and see the reference to algae-based DHA. I'm trying to find other brands that don't use hexane.

What amazon is showing is what it used to be and what my son used to like. Before it was very clear capsule w/ 5 other ingredients you can readily identify. (sunflower oil, gelatin, glycerin, water, vita C, and vita E. I used to order 1 bottle every 2 months for my son and he used to like simple seaweed flavor. Now it has modified corn starch, glycerin, high oleic sunflower oil, purified water, CARRAGEENAN, sorbitol, ascorbyl palmitate, tocopherols, natural flavor, sunflower lecithin, and caramel. Now it has stronger odor, smaller but thicker shell, and dark brown in color from its original clear orange color. My son won't touch this thing anymore. I looked far & wide for DHA that was reasonably priced & was not made with fish oil. I hate, hate, hate fish & could not tolerate the lingering taste. these have NO fish so NO fish taste.I took these during my pregnancy & now while breastfeeding. these are the best deal & least "offensive" DHA pill I have found.

I was doing a cleanse and ordered this product to help with my skin during it. I have finished the cleanse but am still using this soap. It is astringent and gentle!The scent is extremely strong and it made my skin red/irritated. I only used it once before tossing in trash.I have all kinds of issues with soaps, having a recurring skin rash problem. Harsh detergent or other soaps will make it worse. This soap has a wonderful aroma, yet is gentle and also seems to make my rash better. I plan to order it again.

Let me start off by saying please read this whole review thoroughly. This is my first review I am writing both as a warning and criticizing a product. Let me start off by stating the obvious...this soap is way overpriced and the shipping for it hurts even worse. I just recently started trying to use more natural products in my skin care because of my wonderful bad skin gene I was born with and because I am sick of using chems in everything. I didn't suspect switching to natural products to be so hurtful to my wallet. Anyway when looking at the reviews for all of these Natural Handcrafted Soaps I came across a most suspicious detail. Alot of the reviews for these soaps are from the same people. Now that's not that weird but there are more similarities, all these same reviewers have very bad english language writing skills not that I am a bias person but it came across as odd. The most important thing I found though was that the reviewers seemed to have way too much product knowledge about these soaps. I thought to myself "were these the sellers trying to market their own soap by giving them all 5 star reviews using fictional accounts?" I believe there has to be a rule somewhere on Amazon about this kind of thing. Anyway I looked up the actual site and they seem to be based out of S. Carolina I believe it was. Anyway I guess the point i'm trying to get across is if anyone of authority on Amazon or the seller sees this please look into it. Also buyers beware of this possibly phony 5 star review. I did buy this overpriced soap just because and my skin surprisingly did feel better as in softer and some marks and scars and blemish's seemed to fade somewhat. The soap also definitely does smell natural in a good way even though it does have little scent. This soap also does not lather well. Its hard to tell though if the effects on my skin are because of this particular soap as I also purchased a Beer Soap Company soap bar and am taking two hot showers a day since it is winter. Overall this is not a miracle soap that makes me want to fly with the angels but it does make your skin feel cleaner and softer after use.I recently changed my two star review on this product to a one star because someone decided to give me an unhelpful vote on the review I wrote on this product ruining my perfect helpful vote streak. I can almost guarantee it was one of the 5 star boosting, spamming sellers for these soaps so take that a**bag and stop boosting your own products

The title of my review is called "Above Average Soap" because that's what it is. The extra details about the origin of ingredients and fake reviews and all that I think is very useless but interesting to know information. I received this soap along with a few others from the seller of this soap that I have yet to open for a few days now and I can tell you, it really is above average, no miracle product though. It's an average sized rectangular soap bar so don't let the illusion of the picture fool you! Anyway, it lathers great, smells good, and doesn't irritate the skin. Using it whether it's the actual soap bar or just the lather from the soap feels as if I am applying a mixed combo of oil and lotion to my skin in the shower (good thing.) After a shower, it does not leave any kind of residue and I feel I do not need to apply any kind of lotion because my skin feels very soft from using it after the shower.But like I said, I've only been using it for a few days now, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to see any visible changes but it sure feels great and my skin feels properly moisturized after the shower. So yes, I would recommend it, plus it doesn't have any of those strange chemicals that you can't pronounce like the ones in the store it's all natural(I HOPE!)

This bar of soap is very deceptive when in packaging as it smells very weak. Once you unwrap it though it is very strong, but not over powering. This soap left my skin feeling very soft and also dried out a lot of the oils that accumulated after a long hot day. Smells very good and lathers extremely well. I absolutely love this soap. It smells wonderfully and the bar I am on now has lasted about 7 months and it still has some left! It lathers well for a natural soap and I have noticed a difference in my cellulite and lightening of my stretch marks. I actually put mine in the Daylee Naturals Exfoliating Mesh Soap Saver (4pk). Double the effect and really good at saving the soap and allowing more lather. I bought it, I love it and this will be my soap of choice for as long as I can get it!

This lavender oil smells divine. It works quite well in my oil diffuser and has a very relaxing and calming scent. I use it every day, so I like to buy the larger bottles and stock up. There are so many things I love about this candle. First, it smells *fantastic*! Second, the square tin makes it really easy to pour the oil once it's melted. Third, it gets nice and warm, but not warm enough to burn you. I find it best to pour it in your hand first rather than directly on the area you're going to massage. Fourth, it lasts longer than I expected! Four uses so far, and there's still at least one more left! Fifth, it's really high quality "wax". The warm oil makes such a huge difference! Plus, your skin is super soft after using it, and you (and the room) smell great!

Why pay so much for other name brands when this one is essentially the same thing and gives the same effects. I've purchased three of these candles already. I love the scent so much that I also bought the hand soap and cleaner in same scent. the candle burns beautifully. It burns evenly and will last at least 40 hours as it says on the candle. This is a high end candle that burns extremely clean. I love the scent. I use the linen/room spray so wanted to get something to keep the scent going. We got the candle and there is at least a 20% bubble of air on the side of the candle not solid wax. It smells great but I don't expect this candle to last nearly as long as the price tag should require. We will see if I purchase again.

The Glade "Apple Cinnamon" scented oil reminds me of mulled cider. If you've ever put cider in a crock pot with cloves and cinnamon and let it warm up then you will know what this fragrance smells like. I've tried other fragrances like "Linen" and "French Vanilla" but no other fragrance seeped into all the rooms of my apartment quite so easily. I'd suggest using this oil with a Glade fan for more even distribution. This is a perfect fragrance for winter. I'll definitely be buying it again.~The Rebecca Review

The combination of Hawaiiian Breeze and Vanilla Passion Fruit is so refreshing and light and airy and simply amazing! Visitors to my home always comment about how wonderful my house smells. My only complaint is that after a few days of living with it, we become so accustomed to it we don't smell it anymore ourselves...and I WANT to smell it! SO sometimes I just get really close and take a big whiff, LOL! BTW, it's much cheaper in stores (e.g Walmart) than I have found online.

Now, to the meat and potatoes...
This is something I had intended to put in my regular rotation of gifts for men on special occasions. It really does give a first rate shave, and my sister bought this kit for me about two years ago for Christmas. I've been using that brush since. The brush I'm referring to is the one pictured on this page.
Unfortunately, that's not the brush that ships with this package anymore.
Apparently, since The Art of Shaving was bought out by Procter and Gamble -the folks who bring you Gillette shaving products -the kit has changed. You get a brush that is half the size of the one that originally shipped that isn't of very high quality.
When the package arrived, the other products were of the same size, but I was very disappointed in the brush. I couldn't in good faith give this as a gift when the brush included was of far inferior quality to what used to be included.
I'm returning this and getting a better quality brush with a tub of nice shaving cream. I'll probably spend a little more, but I'll get a much better value. The cream will last for several months and the brush will surely last longer than this toy.
You can get a kit with the brush pictured, but you'll spend two or three times as much on it. You get more product and a heftier brush, but for $25 to $40, you can get everything you need for a good shave that will last much, much longer.
Look elsewhere if you're considering a gift for someone who's seriously considering wetshaving, or someone who doesn't know about it yet. At least with a good quality brush, one can give it away if they decide using it just isn't for them.

Extremely expensive and not worth the cost at all. You get no better shave than using regular shaving items.1. The brush is cheaply made with flimsy, light-weight plastic handle and shedding bristles.
2. The pre-shave oil does not improve the closeness of shaving.
3. The aftershave is watery. Literally watery; like they formulated it and then cut the recipe in half with water.
4. Shaving cream okay, but no better than anything you could buy off shelf for $3.99.
Very disappointed in the poor quality of the items. The silver lining is I spent only $25 on the kit rather than $100s on full size items.
