The ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars is the dark brown coloring that shows in our soap dish. Love the smell, it leaves the skin feeling so soft and someone I bought anise soap from before told me to use it on my baby-fine hair. My hair dresser couldn't believe how thick it made my hair and wondered what I was using. What a wonderful soap. The great licorice scent is a favorite in our family and the soap really really cleans. The soaps ability to remove odors and not mask them is second to none as we found out after working in the yard during the hot days over the summer. It removes tree sap well and does an amazing job on grease and oil. We've been using it as a shampoo replacement and it leaves hair soft and manageable. This is a large bar of soap that seems to last a long time. We look forward to trying other soaps from Honest Amish. For Men, this and the Honest Amish Beard Balm Leave-in Conditioner is a great combination as both have the wonderful licorice scent. I've bought this soap before and liked it, but something has changed. It now is drying and doesn't lather unless you use a lot. The smell is still nice, but not as minty as before. The biggest problem is the nozzle CONSTANTLY stops up and when you press it soap shoots out in all directions across anything within three feet of the bottle. I ended up throwing the nozzle away and pouring soap out of the top which is a real hassle. This is a nice storage box for my essential oils. However, when it arrived, I took it out of the box and it fell apart!! Two of the four sides were NOT glued together!! Thankfully, I have wood glue, so I just glued it. But for the price, this is a pretty cheap box!!! This is the best. I am a fanatic about my skin. I am also a fan of La Mer and gladly spend the $130 per jar, but I think of that as a true moisturizer and not really corrective. With this ROC deep wrinkle daily moisturizer you get visible results with religious use. (Of course, the idea that you can fix a deep wrinkle is stupid, so if you are 28 35 and thinking you need to take charge of your skin, buy this now. You need to start preventing the worst wrinkles with this, and not try to solve it later.) The tube is small, but you don't need to use a lot to get good coverage. I think it's actually quite a good value. I use it on my face, hands, neck and chest where damage occurs and for the rest of my body, I use Lubriderm which is cheap and effective. I just wish Amazon could keep this in stock. My local drugstore is also often out of stock. Smells just like the real thing! Very woodsy/musky. Mix with pine oil, cinnamon oil, and balsam fir and you can replicate a lot of Christmas-tree scented candles.
