NOW Foods makes terrific natural oil products, and I have two that I particularly count on: the peppermint oil, which is great for repelling mice and spiders in winter, and this sweet orange oil, which is super for repelling all manner of summer bugs including mosquitoes, bees, ants etc. My method of application is to pour some of the orange oil onto a cotton ball or paper towel, and then rub liberally on the entrance door bottom baffle, up the sides of the entrance door, and and on bottom of window frames, and if you have any in-house bugs, to rub it around the bottom wall borders where you have seen the bugs. A second method of application is to pour the bottle's contents into a small spray bottle (the type you find in a store's dollar aisle) and spray it on instead of rubbing, using a paper towel to wipe any drip lines. This oil acts as a barrier to discourage bugs from entering your home, as they absolutely hate the smell of orange oil. There is a faint orange smell that dissipates after an hour or so, and just remember to reapply after a rain for the outdoor applications. A pleasant all natural bug repellent.

I've been using therapeutic grade essential lavender oil for years. This is the first time I've ordered from this company and I'll say that all my expectations were met. The only thing, and this isn't really a complaint, is that I prefer my lavender oil to not have a 'menthol' scent which is why I typically order lavender Vera or french lavender essential oil. **Update to the below review: Most recently, I used the deodorant and broke out in a terrible underarm rash and had painful burning. i couldn't even use ANY deodorant for one week until the rash went away, the swelling and discoloration. Needless to say, we don't use this anymore. I contacted the company and they worked on resolving the issue for about 2 weeks. The customer service agent I worked with, Rob M., was extremely helpful, concerned and informational. He provided me with the following response to my concerned email about my reaction: "Ok with the batch number you sent we finally have been able to identify that the deodorants you have were part of a batch which was made using an alternative bicarb soda supplier. That particular batch had some complaints associated with it and miessence immediately reverted reverted back to their old supplier." I appreciate their sincere and honest response. In addition, they offered me a refund and/or free exchange for another product. Although, I dont say I will be able to use the deodorant again.**

Original Review: My husband and I have been using this deodorant for the last 6 months or so. We like that it works really wellit helps with sweat and odor. It also lasts a whole day without reapplying. At first application, there is a fishy smell, but then that goes away within a few minutes.

About two months ago, we started noticing darkness around our armpits (like when you wear a dark-color dyed shirt and it stains your armpits). We thought it would go away but the darkness remains. We really like this product but will discontinue use because of the staining of our skin. (It is summer here and we don't want to look like we haven't washed our armpits!)

I don't know what happened to this product, but whatever it was, it wasn't good. I had purchased my first vial nearly a year earlier and was thrilled with the scent, and it lasted all day. It was sweet, sensual, wonderful. This new edition is none of those things.

First off it does not smell the same, there is no longer the sweetness, the floral tones so important, obviously. Second, it doesn't last, which is now I suppose a good thing.

I ended up pitching the whole thing, I wasn't going to wear it, it was just taking up space. Too bad, it had been my favorite.

I love essential oils to put in an aromatherapy diffuser for my home. A friend purchased Absinthe scented potpourri and I fell in love with the smell! I was unable to find anything comparable at the big chain bath and body stores and found Merlin Crystal Cave. I admit, I've only smelled absinthe once and it smelled a bit like licorice to me, so I was a tad apprehensive when buying this for fear it would be too strong. this smells great without being overpowering, gently exfoliates, and really, really leaves you moisturized. I love using it after I shave (which you can't do with a salt scrub!) to make my sensitive legs feel better and keep them from feeling dry (if I don't moisturize after shaving my legs sometimes "heat up" and really get painful). I luv Safflower Supplements. They are not a diet pill but I have been taking them for over a year. I've lost significant fat in my midsection and it is quite noticeable to other people. Now Foods Lemon Oil

Natural mosquito repellants with active ingredient Lemon Eucalyptus OIL are the only natural repellants approved by the US Government (?FDA) to work (sorry I forget which entity tested them). They work as well as low level DEET in fact but are safer for everyone. The only thing the GOv said was that they only last about HALF as long 2-3 hrs as DEET does. So must be reapplied more frequently.

So, I thought I'd buy the Essential OIL...the pure active ingredient,, rather than a brand name repellant with a smaller percentager (20% or so) of the essential oil. Save money. I could mix it in a carrier oil, or not.

I put this oil neet...not diluted...on my lower legs ankles and arms because I was running out late to my garden didn't have time to dilute it (in general they say dilute essential oils that had been my plan).

positives

-I got no rash from putting it on neet

neutral

-Intitial smell very strong (of course). I prefer plain eucalyptus smell this smells like citronella.

better than DEET.

-I got no bites that I noticed. However, I was not at my garden a long time it turned out so was not a good test.

negative

-the smell wore off VERY quickly (within 30 min). It makes me worry that it was no longer active. Supposedly the brand name mixtures with this oil as active ingredient (ie tested by Gov) last 2hrs+. It could be that other ingredients in those products extend the staying power? Vs the smell I a human can detect is not relevant to mosquito replellancy vs this is a weak/diluted oil (I have no reason to suspect that particularly but smell disipated even pressing my nose to my arm)

don't know if it helps you. I can't tell if it's a good oil or not. If it ends up working diluted as I planned it will be a good price for what I am using it for given how expensive REPEL is. Haven't tested it enough and wont' for a while. As usual Amazon shipping was perfect and this glass bottle of very potent smelling oil arrived well packaged and intact just when they said it would.
