I have been wearing patchouli oil since 1971 (I was 13 at the time). Though my family made fun of me, I continued to wear it through the Disco 70's, New Wave 80's, Yuppie 90's, and the Y2K 2000's. Thieves is a very earthy smell. Its grounding and heightening the senses simultaneously. I use it in the diffuser to scent the house. Bugs hate it : ) and its a mold retardant.

Well, this is what I get for straying from Watts Argan Oil. I wanted to try another brand that was a little cheaper just to see if it was as good as Watts, and this one had many glowing reviews so I ordered it. As soon as I pulled the dropper out of the bottle I could tell it was poor quality. The consistency is very thin and it smells like any given vegetable oil, not the olive-like scent of real argan oil. When I applied it to my skin, it stayed greasy and never absorbed into the surface, much like generic cooking oil. Real Argan oil is of a thicker consistency and absorbs readily into the skin. I won't come right out and say that this one is mixed with another oil, but it sure feels like it is. The only thing it is good for is removing eye make-up. Two stars for that and for the pretty bottle. Go with Watts or Slice of Nature if you want to experience the wonder of argan oil. Josie Maran is good too, but very expensive.

This moisturizer brings back memories of using Hawaiian Tropic suntan oil in the late 70's. Heavily coconut scented, this may interfere with any perfume you would want to wear as the scent lasts about 3 hours (on ME)-but it may not on YOU as we all have a different body chemistry. Since this has such a beachy scent, I limit my use of this to Spring and Summer.

Even though it's called Argan Oil Moisturizer, argan oil is #8 on the list of ingredients; the acai berry extract is way down on the ingredient deck. I have dry skin and this leaves me feeling moisturized all day. Good ingredients for the most part: several oils such as sesame, jojoba, and tea tree (the coconut overrides the tea tree odor which is a good thing). High levels of Vitamin E. This also contains parabens which some people want to avoid. Made in the USA and no animal testing which ranks high in my book.

When my lover places this oil on me, its wonderfully sweet, minty odor permeates the room. I've been using this product for over 10 years. While I feel some of Kama Sutra's scents are a little ... cloying ... this one isn't. The scent is rich and melodic, soothing to the mind as well as the body. I use it in the center of the forehead for my Reiki clients for a calming, mesmerizing effect. I am very happy with this massage oil. The price is right and it is very easy to use. It's not excessively oily and rubs into skin without creating that kind of coated feeling that is so unappealing to the person you are massaging.

The fragrance was not strong and suitable for either gender. I have some words of advice though if you travel. Use packaging or duct tape to tape it up and put it in its own bag. I learned the hard way! It will leak a bit so make sure it has it's own place.

This also works very well with the Hitachi Magic Wand Massager.

I finally decided to go sulfate-free, and I researched many products before finding this one. I chose this one because of the price and the ingredients. Unlike many others that falsely claim to be sulfate-free (they're usually free of SLS but throw in milder ones), this one actually was. And the ingredients seemed to be pretty safe and natural, even. (Such as Rosemary/Chamomile/Lemon Balm/Nettles/Olive/Marigold/Sage/Lavendar Extracts) In fact, the only ingredient that I would have any issue with is Cocamidopropyl Betaine which is a surfectant, meaning it's a cleansing and foam boosting agent. It's very popular in commercial hair and bath products and known to be "safe", but there's also somewhat of a controversy about it being a human and environmental toxin. But I digress! The CB is actually the only form of sudsing that this product gives, which really isn't much. As you may already know, the bubbles are pretty much a myth they're not all that cleans your hair, though it might feel like you need it. I expected this out of a sulfate-free shampoo, but it's definitely something to get used to. (I find that diluting the shampoo with a little water helps work it through my hair.) The whole transition has been tough, actually. My scalp is naturally oily, yet my ends are typically dry. So switching from sulfate loaded to sulfate free meant my scalp was still trying to overcompensate for the natural oils that used to be depleted. You have to give it time! Don't automatically fault the product, because the transitioning period can be a couple weeks to a month or two. Anyway, this product made my hair soft and shiny, though I didn't see much of a difference in volume. It also smells very refreshing! (When I got the bottle, I thought it smelled too strong, but I enjoy it now.) I rated this product four instead of five stars, because I wouldn't say it's my "holy grail" shampoo. Great, but not perfect! Either way, I would buy it again, as well as recommend it to others.

After having a less than stellar experience with another brand of natural shampoo, I was hesitant to try another one without SLS. I have fine, straight hair and I've had a few shampoos leave it flat and lifeless. This shampoo is totally different. It lathers adequately and, more importantly, it actually gives my hair some body. I've also noticed that my hair seems to stay "clean looking" longer. In the past I would usually start getting the stringy, greasy look within 20ish hours but I have actually noticed that my hair seems to be fresh longer. Overall I'm very pleased. The scent is nice and inoffensive. I like the fact that I don't really have to think about it, and of course I like the ingredients.
