After having been told my danglies looked like an elderly Rastafarian I decided to take the plunge and buy some of this as previous shaving attempts had only been mildly successful and I nearly put my back out trying to reach the more difficult bits. Being a bit of a romantic I thought I would do the deed on the missus's birthday as a bit if a treat.
I ordered it well in advance and working in the North Sea I considered myself a bit above some of the characters writing the previous reviews and wrote them off as soft office types...Oh my fellow sufferers how wrong I was. I waited until the other half was tucked up in bed and after giving some vague hints about a special surprise I went down to the bathroom. Initially all went well and I applied the gel and stood waiting for something to happen. I didn't have long to wait.
At first there was a gentle warmth which in a matter of seconds was replaced by an intense burning and a feeling I can only describe as like being given a barbed wire wedgie by two people intent on hitting the ceiling with my head. Religion hadn't featured much in my life until that night but I suddenly became willing to convert to any religion to stop the violent burning around the turd tunnel and what seemed like the the destruction of the meat and two veg. Struggling not to bite through my bottom lip I tried to wash the gel off in the sink and only succeeded in blocking the plughole with a mat of hair. Through the haze of tears I struggled out of the bathroom across the hall into the kitchen, by this time walking was not really possible and I crawled the final yard to the fridge in the hope of some form of cold relief. I yanked the freezer drawer out and found a tub of ice cream, toe the lid off and positioned it under me. The relief was fantastic but only temporary as it melted fairly quickly and the fiery stabbing returned. Due to the shape of the ice cream tub I hadn't managed to give the starfish any treatment and I groped around in the draw for something else as I was sure my vision was going to fail fairly soon. I grabbed a bag of what I later found out was frozen sprouts and tore it open trying to be quiet as I did so. I took a handful of them and an tried in vain to clench some between the cheeks of my arse. This was not doing the trick as some of the gel had found its way up the chutney channel and it felt like the space shuttle was running its engines behind me.
This was probably and hopefully the only time in my life I was going to wish there was a gay snowman in the kitchen which should give you some idea of the depths I was willing to sink to in order to ease the pain. The only solution my pain crazed mind could come up with was to gently ease one of the sprouts where no veg had gone before.
Unfortunately, alerted by the strange grunts coming from the kitchen the other half chose that moment to come and investigate and was greeted by the sight of me, arse in the air, strawberry ice cream dripping from my bell end pushing a sprout up my arse while muttering "ooooohhh that feels good" Understandably this was a shock to her and she let out a scream and as I hadn't heard her come in it caused an involuntary spasm of shock in myself which resulted in the sprout being ejected at quite some speed in her direction. I can understand that having a sprout fired against your leg at 11 at night in the kitchen probably wasn't the special surprise she was expecting and having to explain to the kids the next day what the strange hollow in the ice cream was didn't improve my status...so to sum it up, VEET removes hair, dignity and self-respect

My sister actually recommended this product to me. I was hesitant at first because I was afraid it was going to burn like Nair. It does have an order but it's not as near messy as magic shave. I've used it everywhere!!! Arms, Legs, Underarms, Upper Lip and Bikini area!!
Ladies for your bikini area... I suggest you use some kind of petroleum based oil ... or just petroleum jelly around the hairline to protect your skin. I wouldn't recommend baby oil. Also, that spatula is just a waste of time and will actually cause you to get a chemical burn because you aren't removing the chemical fast enough.
It's safe enough that you can rinse yourself in the shower or bath with warm water. Just don't rub it in... or use soap to rinse it off. You can use a bath scrungy to remove the hair. Go against the grain. That means wipe upward toward your belly and away from your genitals. I wouldn't recommend you use this product after you've showered.
It tends to burn only if your pores are open or if you've previously scratched the area you're going to treat. While waxing does last longer... I tell you this definitely last longer than shaving. If you're prone to hair bumps and ingrown hairs.... Tea tree oil helps and the bumps usually disappears within a couple of days!! DO NOT USE THE TEA TREE OIL RIGHT AFTER APPLYING VEET!!! LOL no I've never done it... and I suggest you don't do it either!!! Unless you want to burn!

Getting rid of my bikini line hair has essentially always been a battle for me. When I shave the area with a razor, I get cuts and/or razor burn, no matter what kind of razor I use. A couple years ago, I tried Nair to see if that would work better, and I was disappointed to find that not only was the smell absolutely noxious, but the product burned on my skin and didn't really remove any hairs. On a whim, I recently decided to try out Veet because I was so tired of the constant struggle to remove the hair. I was extremely skeptical of the product, but I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it out. I had to leave it on for 10 minutes (the maximum time), but when I pulled the bladeless razor across my skin, all of the hair came off instantly! You have to rinse the bladeless razor after every stroke because the hair/cream will clump up on it, but that's not too much of a hassle for me. Also, no burning sensation! I am extremely impressed with this product and will likely purchase it again in the future.

I use this all over my "lady parts" aka the V-j-j and it is the best! I leave it on for 9 minutes and all the hair wipes right off. I used to use Nair sensitive formula for this area but the bottle is so small. After trying this one because of the size difference I was actually happier with the formula. If you leave it on for a second or two longer it does not burn you like the Nair one tends to do. I am hairless for at least 2 weeks, this stuff is great, I don't ever consider getting waxed again.

I read some of the one star reviews below, and Im not sure,but maybe the formula has improved or something... because this product worked great for me! I actually bought this at CVS (ugh since summer is coming and I needed to shave...(does not look forward to it..)I was looking for one of those 10-20 dollar razors,but the one I wanted based on amazing reviews was not in stock so I ended up purchasing this instead to try. Firstly, you are suppose to test an area and leave it on for 5-10 mins max and see what happens within 24 hours. (Yes, this is at the very bottom of the second page. Yes, I know... I was so excited and missed that the first time.Its a good thing nothing horrible happened.( I did do a test swatch,just did not wait the 24 hours after) So,for all the negative reviews below... perhaps you did not do that??
I did my air pits first. 5-6 minutes per side, separate applications. I did time my application like the directions said. Apply ample amount of cream otherwise, everything wont come off. Do not skimp on the application,you have a whole container that should last you a few months.I read from one of the reviews to wipe off using a rag. This was a great tip.This product is cream based, so a rag works best.
My results:
Arm pits-smooth day one,day 6 (today) feels as if I shaved.
Bikini area-first application missed bits and pieces of hair. I waited 72 hrs,as per directions. Smooth after second application.
LegsHad very minimal hair to begin with,but afterward the application the hair was still there! Granted, its not a big deal for me since no one can really see it unless you're up close, like real close. You are better off using Nair if you want super smooth legs. I normally use the shower one.
I did not shave my arms.
Overall:
I like it. Its easy.Not really messy.I also used gloves,so I would not have to worry about making sure the product was off my hands. I recommend to everyone who is not a big fan of shaving!
