The lavender smell is strong, but not too strong. It's ability to help your razor glide over the skin is so clear. I have used several blades and tried w/ Oil and with Soap then w/ oil and with cream.... The difference isn't the soap or cream it's the oil. The soap/cream adds to moisture, but the oil is what seems to "float" my blade across my face I love this product.

Sensitive skin and always sore and sometimes slightly red after shave. Even when not even getting a real close shave after all

the suffering, etc. This Oil is the best. It really is thick, and stays on face. Advice! Apply generously, wait no more than

fifteen minutes, then apply Art of Shaving Cream/Soap with a moderate good Brush. Do not wet face between each step.

Apply Oil, Wait, Apply Cream Soap, and shave as usual. Well worth the price.

I started shaving in the shower when I was in my early 20s. I grew a beard in my late 20s and I am now 43. Granted I don't have to "shave" but as I've gotten older, shave oil helps tremendously on the neck and cheek line. I tell young bucks to purchase a shower mirror and a good pre-shave oil and dispense with shaving at the sink. SHAVE IN THE SHOWER. I'm bearded and that is what I do. This pre-shave oil is tremendous and all I shave is my neck line and cheeks I am certain that for men who don't have beards that this product would serve them very well.

First tried Bold for Men after receiving a sample. Since I travel a lot the thought was it might be an alternate to trying to carry shaving cream/gel on the plane. Prior to BFM I'd been shaving in the shower for the last 25+ years. But I have to admit that I was not prepared for how well it worked. Being able to see the results (can't wear glasses in the shower...) means its faster, closer and cleaner, as in you don't miss spots on your chin etc.

Shaving habits are one of those things that most of us just don't change without a very good reason. Follow the instructions, make sure you let it sit for 30 seconds. (Forgetting that pause is not like forgetting to lock and tension a double edged safety razor a memory that haunts me to this day BTW) you will not be disappointed.

I received a sample of this gel in a gift bag. Not knowing anything about the product, I read some of the in some reviews here about how it could be used with an electric shaver. I gave it a try, and found it did two things for me the shaver moved much more smoothly over my skin (giving me a closer shave, especially in the "concave" areas of my neck), and the product also acted as a moisturizer. Five stars.

This is the only shampoo that calms my irritated scalp after just after using it once or twice. Only a drop or two makes a lot of bubbles to wash my scalp well. It is a bit expensive, but it is worth it.

Traveling brings out the worst in my skin. My scalp is sensitive and becomes easily irritated with visible red blotches. While in Europe my scalp became so irritated that I was even scratching it in my sleep and keeping my husband awake. A drugstore in Barcelona recommended this shampoo to us. It soothed my scalp instantly and in two days there were NO MORE signs of irritation. Although pricey, it is worth every penny! As this particular shampoo is not sold in Mexico, I look for it when traveling to the USA or Europe.

This cream doesn't even shave well, much less moisturize as you shave. After using this cream while travelling I was very disappointed. I was looking for something to fight the irritation of simple shaving cream, and provide some moisture at the same time. Not with this stuff. I'm not a prissy man, but this stuff didn't affect my breakouts after shaving or leave me feeling well shorn.

I like this shaving cream a lot! I have sensitive skin and typically get razor burn very easily. This reduced the amount of razor burn I got and left my skin softer than most, even before putting lotion on. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because Trader Joe's has a product just like it, and I like the texture better than Alba. Alba is a little bit sticky compared to Trader Joe's. If Trader Joe's didn't have their version I would continue using Alba. They are both great, I just prefer Trader Joe's.
