See Update below: These seem like a good supplement medicinally, but the Carlson E-gems leak. You may get good results if you keep them in the original packaging, but I take several supplements, so I fill up a weeks worth in a pill holder to save time. The E-gems leak a dark brown fluid in the pill holder that is a mess to clean up. I plan to switch to another brand with a thicker gel that does not leak.
Update: I originally blamed the leakage on the Carlson E-Gems, but I have determined that it was actually a krill oil softgel that was the culprit leaker. My apologies to Carlson for the mistake. This is a fine product that I can now heartily (no pun intended) recommend.

My mother was diagnosed with lung cancer (advanced) and breast cancer (early) more than three years ago. She underwent all the standard procedures for cancer treatment -surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and not long after her radiotherapy ended she started to take the alternative approach: nutrition and vitamin/ mineral supplements. She's a believer in Doctor Ray D. Strand and after I read the book "What Your Doctor Doesn't Know About Nutritional Medicine May Be Killing You" I became a believer, too. Based on the advised doses for a variety of vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals in the book, I picked about a dozen of nutritional supplements for my mother to take everyday. Those products are from different brands/manufacturers and I choose Carlson Labs' E-Gem Plus to be my mother's daily vitamin E supplement (in addition to Source Naturals Women's Life Force Multiple) mainly because it covers a full spectrum of tocopherol -not just the common d-alpha tocopherol, but also gamma, delta, and beta tocopherol. According to Doc. Strand, it is ideal to ensure daily intake of vitamin E in all forms. This E-Gem Plus also has the right dosage of VE compared to the other E-Gem Plus (400 IU) for my mother, because she's using Source Naturals Women's Life Force Multiple (No Iron) as the base product, which provides 200 IU of Vitamin E already. I don't want her daily intake of Vitamin E to exceed 600 IU since it may be hazardous. Last but not the least, it's natural and I trust the brand. I used to buy the same thing in 100-softgel bottles, which for some reason are now sold almost twice as expensive as before. Luckily I found the 250-ct alternative, whose price is reasonable and now I encourage my father to take them too! Very happy with this product.
