This product is by Nature Made, my preferred source of fish oil derived omega-3 supplements. I prefer the deep sea cold fish as a source for mine, and this delivers. Please note that the critical omega-3 is the DHA/EPA combination, which varies widely in all of these supplements. The ALA (usually found in flaxseed oil) does not convert very efficiently into these two critical components, so stick to fish oil. Among all of these products, it is critical to read the label to learn the exact amount and combination of DHA and EPA in each product...disregard the ALA content if you wan to maximize the Omega 3 benefit. That said, dosage is an individual preference, and this product provides a total of 1,200 mg (per two capsules) which is more than enough for a supplement.

Among the Nature Made fish oils, I prefer and actually search for the Nature Made Ultra Omega-3 Fish Oil Softgels, 1400 Mg, 45 Count, which contains 1,000 mg of EPA (!), and 200 mg of DHA per two capsule dosage. There are times when I have to check several pharmacies and supermarkets to find one in stock, but I do so.

By the way In order to address the issue of size, Nature Made has made reduced the size of many of their capsules. There seems to be a concerted effort to address capsule size by Nature Made, which will be welcomed by many!
