Sage oil is an antifungal, antimicrobial agent.

I use this brand oil in my rosemary spritzes (rosemary oil, sage and water). According to a book that I read, this mixture helps keep essential oil/natural spritz mixtures from going quickly bad. When exposed to light, essential oils degrade.

In alternative, natural medicine, sage oil supposedly reduces hair shedding and loss by nourishing the follicle itself and supporting healthy blood flow to the scalp. I haven't noticed a reduced difference in hair shedding when using sage oil, but then again, I didn't pay really close attention. Sage oil has a medicinal smell, and using a little goes a long way.

I trust the NOW brand -as far as natural brands go. I've bought other oils from NOW that have been top-grade products, and the sage oil is no different.

I use Sage oil to make my own deodorant, mixed with a few other essential oils, and add several drops to rubbing alcohol (or food grade clear, if you're so inclined), and it works great. It's natural, I know what's in it, and I'm not clogging my pores, or putting stuff on my body that could cause harm.
