Bergamot essential oil is an almost buttery orange scented oil that is used to flavor Earl Grey tea. It however has many other uses. When blended into a unscented lotion with Neroli (Orange Blossom) and Sweet Orange essential oils you can make a very uplifting and relaxing body lotion. I'd almost go as far as to say this combination can make you feel happy or even slightly euphoric. I use four drops of each in some body lotion and make up a fresh lotion each time I use it.
Egyptians have always believed that Neroli heals the mind, body and spirit. I like mixing the orange blossom oil with orange oils not only because they go together so well but because the combination is so therapeutic. Orange oils are also used to improve skin tone.
Do always test out essential oils before combining them into a body lotion. I have had no problem with Bergamot but there is always the slight chance of contact sensitization.
To make your lotion richer try adding: Pura D'or Pure & Organic Argan Oil (4 fl. oz.). For a lotion base I use Jergens Naturals Ultra Hydrating Lotion
