This diffuser is unpolished soapstone, but the stone used is so pretty as-is that it really doesn't need to be polished. It has one of the more elaborate carvings I've seen on a soapstone diffuser, with lots of holes for the light to shine through. The bowl is a good size, and is not attached (it is a separate piece) which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your point of view.

The opening in the back is a bit small and it has a high interior lip. Getting a tealight in there without getting burned is a learned art (maybe easier for you, as I am kind of clumsy anyway). A minor flaw, really, and not worth deducting a star. It really is very pretty. The one you get probably won't be pink, though. Mine is more of a purple. Good thing, because I don't like pink. Any item made with natural materials is going to show some color variation.

Looks beautiful, but much smaller then I thought it would be. Hard to get a full size tea candle into it. Also takes a long time to heat up, even though it is so small. I went a bought a larger one, which works much better.

The diffuser is beautiful and the closer is also gorgeous. The product is small and works well in small places. I use it in my bedroom with the door closed and it works great. however it does not emanate the scent in larger rooms. After the tea light burns down, it is much weaker. The oil also spreads from the top bowl to the base, but it does not bother me (right now).

One piece was broken out when I received it, but was able to easily glue it back together, and it works great now. Puts out enough scent that you can smell it, but not enough to overpower the room.

Mine arrived broken in the packaging so I returned it without even taking it out of the box. The soapstone is very pretty but like other reviewers said it's very small and obviously breakable! I do recommend this product as a small decorative item but I will probably be looking for something else for aromatherapy.
