The Carlson's cod liver oils are easy to digest, and all can be "bitten", although it may not taste great. I notice severely reduced inflammation in my knees and feet when I steadily take cod liver oil, and an added benefit is that I tan better as well. Additionally, there are no allergens in this product that I react to (and I react to most grain products severely).

I've heard very good things about the Carlson brand of supplements. But I suppose the difference between Carlson and Carlson LABS is that the Carlson Labs products are synthetic. The vitamin A and D in these pills are actually retinyl palmitate and cholecalciferol. Although the oil itself might be coming from a 'natural source', the health benefits you would want to get from it are lab manufactured! You do not want to take synthetic vitamins. In fact, retinyl palmitate has been linked to cancer in very high doses.

The dosage of these is 3 pills, which is also pretty misleading, especially if you have to take a bunch of other supplements every day as well. I am also vitamin D deficient, so I have to take more than that. The pills are pretty easy to swallow, but it's tedious.

I would not recommend this. It is cheap if you're getting it as an add-on item, but you get what you pay for...fake vitamins! You're better off buying a high quality fish oil, which can be found for a little bit more than what you would pay for this.

I have used several brands of cod liver oil and this is the best brand! I will not use any other brand. No burbs or fish taste.

As the previous review said this is a quality cod liver oil. No fishy aftertaste and provides a nice dose of vitamin A which is what I was looking for since I already supplement with fish oil and vitamins K and D. Will definitely buy again.

Small enough to swallow easily. They have no odor. My daughter is very relunctant to swallow pills and has not trouble with these.
