I ordered this because the product description said it was "Essential Oil". I have been working with Lavender Essential Oil for many years and am very familiar with what it looks, smells and feels like. What I got when I ordered this is some kind of scented oil--while this is not unpleasant, it is not the true essential oil that I use for medicinal purposes, so this purchase was a disappointment. I should have known that it wasn't essential oil at this price! My bad...

You will notice that all of their photos have the label turned so you can't see it? That's because the label on the bottle says "100% Natural Oil", which is very different from essential oil--it could be anything.

When I contacted the seller they tried to tell me that Essential Oil and Natural Oil were one and the same, which simply is not true. My guess is that this is something like grapeseed oil with a scent. The scent may be "natural", but again, not the same as true essential oil. The only relief I was offered by the seller was to send it back, which of course would be at my own expense. I don't think it's worth it, but wanted to warn others to be careful if you want actual essential oils.

This lavender oil is cheap for a reason. I found out later that 40-42 is a low grade oil and does not have that nice lavender smell. It smells sort of like cinnamon, florals and a bit of lavender mixed in. My boyfriend says it makes him feel nauseous. I would spend more and get a better quality oil in the future.

i don't know. it is not my favorite brand. i returned the item, but the customer service was really great. and this just didn't meet my expectations compared to other brands i have used in the past, but i will not say that it is a bad product. it was just not what i was expecting in comparison, but we do have to keep in mind there are SEVERAL types of lavender, and this one is not stated which type it is derived from. but maybe that is the difference. all in all fast shipping and good service. i would recommend the seller. and i would certainly try the product if you do not have a preconceived notion of what it should smell like.

The product was in excellent condition and worked wonderfully on the dogs after their baths to rid them of the fleas.

I'm not sure why this is getting negative reviews. Admittedly, I'm not an expert on these things but I thought the lavender oil was good. It has a strong lavender smell--extremely strong in fact. It seems to be authentic to me but maybe I just don't know the difference?
