I add a teaspoon of this to a tall glass of V-8 juice mixed with about 2 ounces of carrot juice in the morning. I also make a nutritious italian salad dressing with 1/3 flax oil, 1/3 olive oil, the rest is Brag's apple cider vinegar (with mother of vinegar, for the yeast), red wine vinegar, about 2t edible d-alpha vitamin e oil, 2 cloves fresh minced garlic, and fresh minced rosemary and oregano leaves from the herb garden pot wintering over in my sun room. The dressing is especially tasty on cold pasta salad made from orzo, spinach, tomatoes, herbed cheese or feta, and sweet red peppers.

I like cooking with flax oil and other oils like olive, peanut, sesame, safflower, walnut, and wheat germ oils to add some variety of essential fatty acids into my diet, which is too full of soy, corn and canola oil in processed or prepared supermarket foods, so I try not to use them in cooking.

I can't swallow the giant horse-sized Omega 3 or fish oil pills, and the petite gels have so little oil in them I would have to take a handful of pills to get any benefit. Using this oil as a liquid in cold foods lets me take in a heftier daily dose without taking massive numbers of pills.

Heat destroys the benefit of this oil so it is best kept refrigerated. Another reviewer said this oil tastes fishy but in my opinion Nature's Bounty Flaxseed Oil no different than Wesson or Crisco vegetable or soybean oil, so perhaps that reviewer did not keep it in the refrigerator and it went rancid. Then again I admit to having a large tolerance for taste when it comes to anything plant based (can't say the same for meat though, I am semi vegetarian).

This Flax Oil is a top quality product. We have an older dog who has developed cataracs in both eyes. In researching how to treat this Flax Oil kept being the main recommended product(in addition to MSM), but it had to be "Cold Pressed" with NO additives. oh my goodness this stuff taste like old dead fish.... i"ve had flaxseed oil before and it did not tast like old fish. i want be buying any more of this stuff. i'VE HEARD THAT YOU CAN GET FISH OIL THAT TASTE LIKE LEMON AND ORANGE, I GOT TO TRY IT. I DIDNT LIKE THIS FLAXSEED OIL TOO TOO FISHY
