I wanted to try fish oil because of the cardio benefits and also heard of the stress reducing, mood stabalizing benefits of omega-3's that came with it. At first though I was a bit weary to try fish oil because of the dreaded "fish belches" but then I was informed by a friend they were entric coated which means they don't get fully absorbed by the body until they reach the lower intestine. I can't say enough about taking fish oil supplements with omega 3. I've been on prescription antidepressants before for anxiety and while they worked I also gained weight and had trouble getting off of them (this was in college). Fast forward to my first baby, and postpartum depression started to kick in I had very high, sudden anxiety brought on by all the hormones. I was willing to suffer through the fish burps because these supplements are so worth it, and I believe EVERYONE should take this supplement!
