Buyer beware, apparently, hexane is used in the processing of NutraSea kids omega as well as their algae product. This makes me wonder if they also use hexane for their other fish oil products as the oil they list on their ingredients are very similar. It's a shame that they would use hexane particularly in the product for children.

I have been giving this product to my twins (upon a raving recommendation from the WholeFoods guy) for 6 months or so. I like that they are getting both Omega 3s and Vitamin D3 (which is great for their immunity). As others have commented the flavor is great, but some don't like the 'oiliness'. Therefore, I add it to their yogurt. In fact, I mix this into plain yogurt (for me I use organic greek yogurt) and the flavor from this product actually flavors the plain yogurt! And that way there is no oily affect and the yogurt tastes even better. It is a win-win!Buy NutraSea Omega 3 Kids Very Berry Ascenta 200 ML (6.8fl oz) Liquid Now
I got this from the Vitamin Shoppe and it is doing wonders for my three year old son who is speech delayed and has been exhibiting signs of ADHD.I had been giving him Omega-3 before (the NOW Foods brand, for more than a year) but I was not giving him enough. On Thursday, based on other reviews, I started giving him 15ml in the morning and 15ml in the evening and he is like a different child. I use a syringe for measurement and administer it when he is eating and seated in his booster seat. I do not dilute it because I want to be sure that he gets exactly the dose he needs. When I put it in a sippy cup, I am never sure of how much exactly he takes. We do not have this problem with the syringe. Works great also when trying to give him his daily multivitamins.Anyway, he is now happy, cheerful, always willing to play, he talks all the time, sleeps well, does not wake up in the middle of the night. We can't believe it. In just five days!!! Actually, on Saturday, my husband and I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and one of the sales associates recommended this particular product. I was kinda hesitant because it is expensive but we are now hooked. It smells awesome so no more fish smell and the refining for this oil is better. You can tell that it is a quality product. Because my son is so young, I do not want him to drink stuff that might make him sick; so I'd rather pay the money and have some peace of mind. Anyway, the reviews I read said to keep kids on very high amounts for only seven days and to return to normal, recommended dosage on the eight day. That's what we will be doing. I think that there are other products on the market that are just as good. You just have to make sure that you give your child more than the recommended dose; especially if they have development and behavioral issues. If they do not, it's probably safe to stick to the recommended doses. In my case, my son's pediatrician had put him on prescription meds (Intuniv) and I stopped after five days because it really was not helping and:
1. I did not want to get him down that road
2. I want to believe that the son God gave me cannot be sick. He is perfect and just need a balanced nutrition.
So I am really glad I found something natural that works. I am actually going to post this review for other Omega-3 products on Amazon, just so other parents might know that Omega-3 works with young children afflicted with development and behavioral issues. It doesn't matter which brand you pick, just make sure, your child gets enough of it. Our son was actually fine when he was on formula. His behavior started deteriorating when he went on cow milk (as recommended by his pediatrician). At the time, I just knew that this was because he was missing some crucial supplement. We were giving him a multivitamin but again, the dose of essential fatty acids was too low and could not compensate for the formula. We were giving him omega-3 too (2.5 ml a day) but it is only when we upped the dosage to 15ml twice a day that we noticed an improvement in his behavior, attention span and speech. It happened almost overnight. On day #8, he will be back to the recommended dosage for this product which is 5ml per day.
Still, we suffered and worried for almost two years. Hopefully, this review can help other parents
