Mrs Meyers products are not cheap, but they are worth the price both for their lack of dyes and chemicals and for how well they work. Not to mention they all smell incredible. I've ordered cases of their detergent before, but living in a small space can make storage tricky, so instead I ordered this product that boasts you can manage 68 loads from one bottle. I was skeptical when I measured a glorified tablespoon into the detergent dispenser in my washer, but the clothes came out completely clean, smelling great, and a lot softer than after using other store brands. I've also recently learned that using too much soap in your washer can cause problems--mildew build up and such. So far I've done 6 loads--I have a tiny washer--and can barely see that I have even used the product. I will be curious how many weeks/loads I actually do get out of the bottle, but I am already a loyal Mrs. Meyer's fan. On top of all that--I have strange allergies to various ingredients in most detergents, and have had no reaction to this. Usually you have to compromise scent when you have sensitive skin--not so with this product! Highly recommended!

They really need to improve the packaging for the detergent. The cap is really small, and when you pour the detergent into it, you cannot avoid not spilling it everywhere. To make it worse, the cap doesn't have a large spillage design, so when you put the cap back on, the left over detergent will probably spill out. Bought Mrs. Meyer's Lavender for a bit of scent without the stinky perfume of normal scented laundry detergents. I use a natural unscented laundry detergent that cleans well, but doesn't always do the trick on my making my workout clothes smell clean. A wee little bit of Mrs. Meyer's added to the laundry made all the difference. Now, when I sweat, I get a little waft of warm lavender instead of sweaty stink. I'm so enthused with the smell, that I've now added it to sheets as well. I really love the smell of this product! It cleans well and lasts for a long time. Great stuff I highly recommend this detergent. I use it with the fabric softener by the same company. I find the scent lasts longer if I line dry my clothes. This detergent cleans wonderfully and the scent is lovely. However, the bottle design and concentration level leaves much to be desired. The detergent is the consistency of maple syrup and drips down the side of the bottle because the opening is too wide and there is no drip-catch. The flip top cap would remedy that problem if there were a way to measure. Because of the poor bottle design and stickiness, I don't know that this detergent is necessarily eco-friendly because it causes me to wash the cap, bottle, and my hands after every use, using precious clean water resources.
