I had read the reviews before purchasing, some of which noted an offensive smell. I thought perhaps the writers were unfamiliar with essential oils in that they do not identically smell like the fresh flower/herb. However, this product smells like an old factory dealing with petrochemicals or metal shavings or some such. Also, the literature that came with it was not informational as to the product; rather, it was trying to encourage people to become distributors.
