My almost 2yr old daughter seems to have caught a cold every 6-8 weeks since she was born. They linger forever, and make her so miserable...as a result her sleep is disrupted, and my sleep is disrupted and everyone just ends up tired and miserable as her cold lingers on.

I started using DoTERRA On Guard 10 months ago, at the recommendation of a friend who sells it.

I rub it into the soles of my daughters feet, and my husband, myself and my older son swallow it in an empty veggie capsule.

My husband and I haven't been hit with a full on cold AT ALL during those 10 months (including an out of country trip, on a germ breeding airplane in the middle of winter). We start taking it at the first sign of a cold, and usually within 2-3 days at most, all symptoms are gone, and the cold never fully impacts us. My daughter still gets sick sometimes, but with consistent use of the onguard on her feet, the duration of her colds seem MUCH shorter. Usually no more than a few days and she's herself again. A definitely improvement from the colds that used to linger for 10 days to 2 weeks.

I've recently bought the Aroma Ace diffuser to use with the on guard this coming winter season, and I am excited to see how that helps to keep the germs in our home at bay. I will diffuse the on guard in my childrens room every night for a few hours while they sleep.

It smells fairly strong of citrus and cloves, but you do eventually get used to the smell. I don't recommend taking it internally without a capsule as the taste is very strong and burns your mouth.

This product to me is worth the price. It is expensive, but given the results we've had, and the minimal stress that we now experience when someone is sick, it is worth every cent.
