Aura Cacia's Sweet Almond Skin Care Oil, CERTIFIED ORGANIC, 4-Ounce Bottle is great stuff! I have responded to the other reviewers but since this product has helped me so much I think I should write my own review. A couple of months ago I began suffering from some sort of skin sensitivity that I think is eczema. I have had to think about everything I use from hair products to laundry soap because of my dry, itchy rash prone skin. Anything at all will set off a painful, persistent, itchy, ugly rash. I even have to use super soft pillow cases that don't rub me wrong, literally. I tried both olive oil and coconut oil before buying and using this Sweet Almond Oil. It's just the best! It's richly emollient with a light nutty scent that one reviewer said he couldn't smell and another, pregnant, commenter said she didn't like. One thing about ending up with a skin condition like mine is that I have been forced to consider and simplify what I use on, in and around me!
I now use a plain organic shampoo that I bought at Whole Foods then, after that, I only use Aura Cacia's Sweet Almond Oil. I use no hair conditioner, as the one that I had been using for years became very irritating..almost overnight. I find my new routine to be very pleasant and relaxing. After showering I apply the Sweet Almond oil directly to the areas with rashes (the back and sides of my neck and places on my arms) to seal in the moisture from my shower. Then I apply a light layer over my whole body..making a quick massage out of it because this oil is so deliciously smooth in texture. Finally, with the Sweet Almond Oil still all over my hands I comb the knots out of my superfine hair. I never thought I could go without conditioner but I can! I don't need that extra step at all! I just have to be careful not to have too much oil on my hands or my hair will be a little greasy. I'm refining my routine and my hair is rarely greasy but very manageable and soft. And, importantly, my itching and rashes are so much better and calmer. I actually have to point out that I have eczema to friends because it's not obvious. Only light pink areas remain. From what I have learned while researching eczema, it is an inflammatory lipid disorder that affects about one in nine people of all races. This Sweet Almond Oil has really saved me! Again,olive oil and Coconut oil actually irritated my skin more. One other natural substance my skin can tolerate and really benefits from is raw local honey. I spread that all over my face in a thin layer before showering. I go around with a sticky, shiny face for as long as I can..an hour and more..the longer the better. The honey migrates into my nose, mouth and eyes but doesn't hurt at all. Honey disinfects, soothes and nourishes any eczema patches leaving my face very smooth after my shower. Raw local honey and Sweet Almond oil are my skin's heroes! It's amazing how two of the most simple of nature's products are what I can tolerate and that help me. I love Aura Cacia's Sweet Almond Oil and will always use it. It's great to have simplified and refined my bath routine (and life) even if it had to be because of a difficult skin condition. All the artificial additives, scents and colors never were good for me anyhow! Because of eczema I have found out not only what I do need for my skin and hair, high quality Sweet Almond Oil and good, local, raw honey, but how much I really don't need in this ridiculous, consumerist culture of ours. I decided to make my own skin care products and started reading up on different oils. I used this as my "base" oil and add other essential oils to the products I make.I LOVE them. Using this oil with a very small amount of tea tree essential oil has all but cleared up some severe skin issues I was having. The cost is a fraction of what it would have cost me to buy these in the store and I nkow exactly what is in the products. I will make sure I have some of these oils on hand from now on.

I was very disappointed in this product. Although it is advertised as an aromatherapy product, the only scent it had was a slightly rancid one. Also, the product listings for this company are vague. They give little information; in fact I looked for several minutes before I could figure out the amount of product in their "Multi-pack" of 4 ounces almond oil. I finally found the information that it was a three-pack.Received rosemary essential oil and not almond oil. Vastly different. Not sure how it can be confused. Will not order again.
