I've tried a myriad of fish oil supplements from various supplement companies over the last 4 years. Over that time I've had a lot of hits and misses and it's really been a trial and error process for me. I've done a lot my own research and have learned so much since then, and I continue to learn more as the research out there is updated. Unfortunately, I've yet to find the perfect formulation for a price that's in my budget range. This Version by Source Naturals comes close, and ranks up there as one of my favorites in many aspects, but for me, does have one major flaw.The Good: The level of EPA/DHA in this formulation is one of the highest out there.
It was important to me to find a formulation that contained a combined level of at least 600 DHA in its dosage, and this one fits the bill. Most fish oil supplements out there out there give you combined level of 500 DHA in a two capsule servingjust missing the mark. I like to keep the amount of pills I take to a minimum, so this formulation works perfect for me.
Also, these pills are enteric coated, so if you have issues with fish oil repeating on you, as I've had in the past, the enteric coating will do the trick. I've taken these for 3 months and never had that issue. However, it should be noted that the downside to any enteric coated fish oil pill is that if you're concerned about your fish oil being rancid, it will require a lot more effort to crack open the enteric coating to check.
Lastly, the price for this product is great. You can a bottle of 120 capsules for around 21 dollars the price Amazon has it currently listed forwhich is outstanding considering the level of EPA/DHA you get in a 2 capsule serving.
The Bad: My only real issue with this fish oil supplement is that it doesn't have a IFOS 5 star rating, which is important to me when it comes to consuming something every day like fish oil, which can potentially have tons of toxins in it. For that reason, I will look elsewhere for a supplement that has a similar formulation along with the IFOS rating.
Also, the Arctic Pure formulation I have does not identify what type of fish the the oil comes from on the bottle and I'd like to know that information. Hopefully they will resolve both these issues.
All that being said, if the IFOS rating is not issue for you, this is a really good product by Source Naturals. The level of EPA/DHA in a two capsule serving is one of the highest out there and for a great price.

OPINION: Source Naturals ArcticPure Ultra Potency Fish Oil has good potency for an ethyl esters form of omega-3 fish oil, but it is not IFOS certified and it contains soy.

I rated Source Naturals ArcticPure Ultra Potency Fish Oil four stars, because, while it has good potency for an ethyl esters form of omega-3 fish oil, it is not IFOS certified and it contains soy.
I rated its companion product, Source Naturals Arctic Pure Omega-3 1125 Fish Oil, four stars as well, because, while it has very good potency for an ethyl esters form of omega-3 fish oil, it is not IFOS certified, it contains soy, and a single gel cap is 1375 mgs, which is quite large. Some folks might have trouble with a pill that size.
I rated Nutrigold Triple Strength Fish Oil Omega-3 Gold and OmegaVia Pharma-Grade Fish Oil five stars.
I rated Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega four stars because its omega-3 fish oil potency is not particularly high.

Good product, have good amount of DHA at very good price. Only thing you have to consider is big size of capsule. For me it worked.
