Originally found out about this from ShopNBC, was curious to try since one of the benefits it lists is to help pet hairs release (we used to have a white kitty). In addition to protecting the color of dark fabrics and smelling fresh, it really does seem to have helped even embedded kitty fur to release.

This stuff is pretty fantastic as far as its effect on clothes clothes are clean (I was having problems with my HE washer leaving white sludgy patches on my darks, no matter how I tweaked the detergent, number of rinses, etc.), and seem softer than with any other detergent I've used. The thing that kept me from giving this five stars is the STENCH this stuff doesn't smell good. It has a musty, musky smell that is quite strong. It doesn't appear to come in an unscented version, so I hope the manufacturer has one in the works. I'm going to try using less next time in hopes of decreasing the smell. Otherwise, I'm not sure I will purchase this again, despite how well it works, because it smells so bad.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Laundress!!! Also have the Laundress Signature and Baby. Yes, it is expensive, but a little goes a long way (I have a front load machine and only need a small amount of detergent). Smells heavenly and cleans great.

I am a fan of all Laundress products, and this is no exception. Using a detergent specifically for darks really does make a difference; it helps with preventing fading and general signs of wear. I bought this specifically for my premium denim but it works for all types of dark clothing. The scent is terrific, too!
