First, in complete fairness, I should make it clear this soap is quite good. For the $4.50 it goes for it's a great price for this large round. It smells amazing, the subtle hint of spice that lingers after a shave makes the wife happy (I enjoy it too) and it forms a great lather if you take the few moments that any shaving soap requires. Give it a little attention in forming the lather and you'll be rewarded.

Second, however, is the unfortunate situation the seller currently has with shipping. The final price ($13.50) was the cheapest shipping option available. It can't be dismissed that, in actuality, this soap cost over $13 which I would say is too expensive if you factor shipping in. It's not a reflection of the product itself but an honest assessment of what it takes to get it to Middle America.

If the seller could find a path to better shipping options then this fine soap could come closer to being a real bargain for the fine, quality product it is and the final price it ultimately costs. I encourage them to find that way because more people should try this pleasant soap at a more competitive price. If so, I'll be buying this again and again!

I really like this soap. I discovered it a few years ago, and the store I bought it from stopped carrying it. Thank goodness Amazon now has it. I use it everyday. Not only does the cinnamon provide for a naturally superior shave, it leaves your face a subtle hint of spice. I buy about a year's supply at a time.

This soap has the wonderful smell of cinnamon and spice. Every time I use it, I feel like a rugged mountain man about to hunt a buck, chop wood, or conquer the next peak. I use it with a badger hair lathering brush, which adds to the effect and creates a smooth, creamy lather. The cinnamon oils seems to help soften the beard for a nice shave. When I run out (which will be a while, because this products lasts a long time), I will be buying another round. Using a natural shaving soap like this one is much better for your skin and the environment than aerosol spray shaving creams filled with unnecessary chemicals. It's also better for the pocket book, it's worth paying the extra dollar or two up front because you will get hundreds of shaves out of this product.

I first purchased this product at a fair. When I ran out I found it here. It is easy on the face, the cinnamon gives a bracing tingle and it smells great. I highly recommend it for those using a brush and a mug to shave.
