I ordered several sandalwood essence oils from various vendors and this is what I was searching for. As the other reviewer noted, it is rich and warm. I would call it a rounded, sweet and very satisfying sandalwood that will be worth the higher cost for re-ordering.

I was very excited to receive this product. A couple of years ago, a friend of mines from india gave me sandalwood oil. I felt in love with it, because it is very good for the skin. It would give my skin a glow. I have been searching for sandalwood oil that would produce the same effect as the oil I once used. After seaching on amazon.com, I came across this sandalwood oil. It is East indian sandalwood oil. I thought, could this produce the same effects? When I receive this oil, I mixed it with my lotion. My skin felt so smooth with this mixture. I also poured a few drops in a spray bottle and used it as an air fresher. The rooms in my apartment, smelled so good. I used this oil on unscented candles and the aroma from the burning candle is very relaxing, especially after a hard day of work. I am pretty sure there are many other uses. This product is one of the best investment I have made. Sandalwood oil is very versitile and has many practical uses.Buy Sandalwood (East Indian) 100% Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil- 5 ml Now
This oil has the weakest and most short-lasting scent of any sandalwood I have used in 35 years--and that's a lot of oil! The careful description and high price--which make you think it will be good--are simply ridiculous. It's obviously from trees that are not fully or properly grown--a real problem in India now, where sandalwood has been terribly over-harvested. A few times in recent years I've had some Indian friends bring me back some good (but weaker) oil, but even they had a lot of trouble tracking it down among all the junk there now after 'globalization.'I started using sandalwood as a personal scent when I was in India, and for years got my supply from friends living there. 20, even 15 years ago, it was outrageous! When that supply dried up, I started using Australian sandalwood, which is well grown, and easily available in local health food stores. It isn't quite as wonderful as the old Indian oil, but it is still very nice: rich, complex, strong, lasting.
I bought this one to try Indian sandalwood from an online source, even though it was pricy. So much for nostalgia! Yes, Indian oil has a special quality, but I couldn't believe how shockingly weak this oil was, nor the weirdly tiny bottle--which I went through in no time. I've returned to my local store for its Australian oil, and I'm happy again: richer oil, a bigger bottle, and a much better price. I'm afraid it seems to be all over with Indian oil. Go Australian, it's the better one now. Forget the seller's hype about its authenticity and avoid this rip-off.

After buying several products only to be disappointed, this is 100% bliss in a bottle. The aroma is nothing less than incredible. It's difficult to find true sandalwood aroma, but this is a great product and smells amazing. You will not be disappointed with this! I will continue to buy this solution.Want Sandalwood (East Indian) 100% Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil- 5 ml Discount?
I love this oil. I was looking for a true sandalwood, like the kind you could get anywhere in the seventies, but which has become extremely hard to acquire. I did not want sandalwood and orange, or sandalwood mixed with ANY other fragrance. I am very happy with this oil. The aroma is lovely.
