After reading a newspaper article about research done in England using cod-liver oil in 2001 which I found between hip replacement surgeries. Figured it couldn't hurt me.

I went looking for a 1200 IU dosage recommended to improve knee problems after the research was tabulated. At that time, it was hard to find but Solgar came to the rescue and I have taken these daily (unless I get lazy :) ). What I can say is that if I don't take it for a couple of week, my knees hurt when I go up the 19 stairs at the gym! AND they don't hurt when I take them.
