they've updated the packaging which doesn't work as well as the old metal tubes, but the product still works well. It's more of a watery cream than a gel, but it controls my dandruff and oily scalp.

I used this product once and according to its directions (applied directly to scalp, avoided eyes) and after 10 seconds my eyes were tearing and burning, they felt like they were on fire! I was screaming and in such pain I had to wash it out immediately. I worked in a biology lab and chemistry lab many years ago, so I know how to be safe and careful handling dangerous materials; however, I was not prepared for how this product would react. I'm no novice to hair products nor am I new to Davines products! I've used tons of hair products over the years (relaxer, color, highlight, etc.) and I have never encountered anything like this. I'm surprised this reaction was not picked up during product development. I am very disappointed in Davines. Many of their other products I've used over the years have been wonderful (smell great and work great). This one is clearly not one of those. I cannot recommend this product at all. My only regret is I tossed the packaging so I could not return it for a refund.
