I ordered this product because I was looking for a low-cost replacement for LaVanila's Pure Vanilla perfume that I get from Sephora.

I read the reviews, so I had been warned, but I placed the order anyway... Aaaand the reviews were right. This perfume is overpowering up front, no smell 2 minutes later. Bad...

The only saving grace was that the bottle top can be removed, so I was able to add various vanilla oils I had ordered separately through Amazon and I MacGyverized a new scent that does last and smells really nice.

Does it accomplish my goal of finding a dupe for LaVanila? Nope, but it's ok for wearing around the house and spraying on blankets and throws.

Out of all the various low-cost vanilla perfumes and oils I've bought so far, the ones I like best are Pacifica Island's Vanilla Perfume and TokyoMilk's Sugar Sugar perfume solid.

So final recap on this product: sub-par perfume, great bottle, skip if you're not willing to add oils to the mix to make the scent work.

Very strong perfume smell. Was hoping it was a more mellow vanilla scent. Too strong for me, and if you have allergies can create a sneeze attack!

I read so many great reviews about this product so I was extremely disappointed that it smelled so much like baby powder. I won't be buying this again.

As a foodie, I like to smell like something delicious--not floraly, not woodsy, not hormone-glandy, and not powerdery. Edible. I want to smell like mango, pineapple, coconut, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, cookies--that sort of thing. Places like The Body Shop throw me into deliriums of ecstasy. What with all that healthy stuff and the delicious smells (not to mention the ecoand socio-consciousness aspects). Well, when I am not getting bath and body products there, I shop online from trusted names like Origins, Clinique, and Ecco Bella. For years, now I have been a fan of this particular parfum--Bourbon Vanilla. There are hundreds of vanilla-smelling fragrances--and hundreds of variations on the vanilla theme. It can be too sexy (Lush Vanillary) or it can be too heavy (Flowerbomb or Opium), or too musky or too, well, something.

But Ecco Bella hits it JUST RIGHT with this parfum. It goes on lightly. It stays light. It doesn't change on your skin. It makes me feel, um, childlike joy. It's you-just-waltzed-into-a-bakery vanilla. And the ingredients are healthy, if you are sensitive to other fragrances, you should be fine with this one. And this smallish bottle size means you can toss it into your bag or suitcase and you aren't carting around too much (do put it in a plastic resealable bag when traveling, though--it can slip out of the bottle a bit). Delicious. One can never smell too delicious.
