I looked and looked for real bayberry essential oil (the kind extracted from actual bayberries). It's just not out there to be had. But now that my bayberry 'fragrance' oil has arrived...I don't care. This smells complex and rich, yet natural. Sweet and piney, yet dry, woodsy and slightly smokey too. I really like it! And it was in my mailbox two days after I ordered it. By the way, this is labeled as 'Pure' oil. As far as I can tell, that is just a nice marketing term meaning they didn't put anything in it that will harm you. It's hard to find, but I found in fine print that it is not essential oil of bayberry. Meaning it is a synthetic reproduction in 'Pure' carrier oil. I think. Also, I have really sensitive skin and this did not irritate it at all.Wow is this beautiful! I am uncertain exactly how pure this oil is but I have to say it adds a beautiful smell to all of my Yule incense lines. I could almost wear it as perfume! It arrived in perfect condition and well before the estimated date of arrival.
