I have used Castle Forbes products for over three years. They are the best shaving essentials, and I have tried everything else over 50 years, from foams to shaving oils. Absolute must is the shaving cream itself. I was sold by one of the CF owners at Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC when it was first offered. My face loves this stuff! One jar has lasted me over three years because you only need to tiniest bit on a clean wet face. I never travel without it either. Just put some in a clean small jar. A little will last your six weeks of travel. The feeling it leaves is great with an amazing close shave using a mulitblade razor. I later bought the preshave and aftershave. Of the two I recommend most the aftershave if you have to choose. It also has the lime oil and is so soothing. Yes, these product appear expensive, but a little dab will do ya as the commercial used to say. I know I pay less over time to get a fantastic shave with Castle Forbes. If you like a high quality shaving cream with a strong lime scent then then search no further. Compared to other lime scented creams such as Geo F. Trumpers Limes, which is very muted and subtle, this is more in your face (which I prefer). Great lathering and shave lubrication, too.

Pricey, but a little goes a long way. Probably no more expensive than "rash in a can", shave for shave. The tactile feel of the shave is, ahem, "cutting-edged" smooth, the scent is pleasant in a sublime way. I've enjoyed all of Castle Forbes scents... And the skin, after the shave, is so smooth that you'll become a sex-magnet. Well, maybe.........

BTW, for you multi-track users out there: you've been brain-washed! Double-edged blades, with practice & study (I recommend "Leisure Guy's: The Art of Shaving, plus many resources on the web) offer a much nicer shave for pennies a shave! Try it, you won't be sorry....

I had read the rave reviews, and thought it would be good, but this cream is really really good. It is in my top 4 favorites. This cream provides a very smooth shave and leaves the skin feeling really good afterwards. The scent is much stronger lime than I am used to with other brands, but it doesn't linger if that is a concern. I will definitely keep some of this on hand in the future. A new member of my permanent rotation drawer of shaving creams.
