I was an avid user of Carlson's Norwegian cod liver oil for quite some time, I still recommend it, however, it's a bit pricey in comparison to Sonne's and as far as the Sonne's No. 5 is concerned, it's pretty much the same, if not, better. This is the crudest form available for consumers as it's less refined and Not de-stearinated (fat unremoved, which is a good thing). It's also only available in the standard flavor as it naturally occurs. The cod liver oil used by Sonne's is also 100% pure Norwegian. The fish taste isn't too bad if you mix a teaspoon of it with a glass of orange juice. If you're looking for something to work wonders for your season depression and skin, this is your answer. For 16 ounces, It's about $20 cheaper than Carlson and the quality is all there, this is my new go to cod liver oil.

This is a high quality cod liver oil but be aware that it has had very little processing done to it so it is very fishy. I do not like the flavor but do like the quality of the product.Buy Sonne Products Cod Liver Oil #5 Now
Nothing but fish oil. My 2, 4, and 6 year old take it with no problems. I love that there is no strawberry, or citrus flavoring since my 2 year old is allergic.Read Best Reviews of Sonne Products Cod Liver Oil #5 Here
This is one of the best of the non-fermented cod liver oils out there and is of the "high-vitamin" type. It is suppose to be minimally processed and is recommended by the WAP organization. However, of all the cod liver oils I have tried none can beat the discontinued Quantum Cod Liver Oil manufactured by Premier Research Labs Inc. You could SEE the difference on you within a few days. None of the oils I have tried (and I have tried them all!) ever did this to the degree the Quantum Cod Liver Oil could do. Not even the fermented ones! The oil was supposedly not molecularly distilled and contained natural amounts of vitamin A and D and not bleached or deodorized.
Sometimes I think there is a conspiracy to keep us in ill health. This product tastes a little bit fishy on the way down but it doesn't come back for a repeat taste and that's the one thing I must have in a cod liver oil!
