I used to sell this oil when I had a shop of my own and it was among our best selling oils. Sun's Eye is a very good quality oil. This is NOT an essential oil, but that is a good thing in this case because people, myself among them, would buy this oil to wear directly on the skin, as a perfume.
it is FAR better smelling than just about any "perfume" on the market.... but it's not just good for that! it is an excellent all-purpose oil for use in ritual. Dress your candles with it, use it for anointing.... I made a batch of home made anointing OINTMENT so that it could be smoothed onto the skin of an initiate or used for whatever purposes you might normally use an anointing oil. In an ointment form there is no risk of spilling.
I recently had occasion to do a wiccan baby blessing ritual and I used this on the baby and even her baby's sensitive skin had no reaction to this oil, so that is a testimonial to how pure this oil is. No alcohol or any crap added that will cause problems, it doesn't stink when it is burned (I don't burn it myself but I do know someone who uses this on charcoals instead of resin incense and it smells great) and it is long lasting.
I would really love to know the recipe, but of course then it wouldn't be a great seller! it is nice knowing that it is premixed including all the elements so your wiccan ritual is completely represented. However, I know people who are not wiccan who buy it simply because it smells so yummy....
for those who are wondering, it's kind of got an, um, musky-ambery-vanilly kind of scent.... not really flowery or fruity or anything like that. It's a very balanced scent though. Says it is in a base of frankincense.... but I can't isolate any other fragrance in it.... maybe cedar, patchouli, sandalwood and musk? at any rate, I'd buy it by the pint if they had it!
