I was looking for a shampoo to clarify with seeing that I co-wash (because of kinky/curly hair) and was experiencing build up. I was looking for something else when I saw this at CVS. I smelled it and loved and decided to try it since it was inexpensive.
No only did it get rid of the build up without drying my hair it got my scalp really clean. I love this product and will be buying it again.

I love the way this smells! My only complaint is that VO5 isn't making it anymore!! And it cleans my hair, too :)Buy Alberto VO5 Tea Therapy Tea Shampoo, Vanilla Mint, 15 Ounce Now
We use this for shampoo and body wash in our house because it smells so wonderful and has excellent lather! The guys in our house don't think it's too girly and us girls love it!! It has a fresh, clean, and pleasant scent that's not overwhelming! It's nice to have something in the house everyone likes as opposed to 6 or 7 different bottles in the shower/bath!Read Best Reviews of Alberto VO5 Tea Therapy Tea Shampoo, Vanilla Mint, 15 Ounce Here
This product really works well. It leaves my hair silky and shining. Plus it just smells so amazing. I get mine at CVS for a fraction of the cost.Want Alberto VO5 Tea Therapy Tea Shampoo, Vanilla Mint, 15 Ounce Discount?
I bought this for fun as I liked the scent. I never expected it to do anything at all, so imagine my surprise when my fine, thin, straight, shoulder-length (and dyed) hair loved it! My first use was today, & I have volume, bounce & shine (and I don't use styling products!)More amazing is that my hair felt so silky after rinsing, I took a chance and didn't use conditioner, AND my ends weren't dry even after blow-drying! And I wear bangs and they are not greasy-looking.
I assumed a clarifying shampoo strips hair, but not this one!
My hair's recent history: I began to dye my 95% gray hair a few months ago. I bought expensive sulfate-free Pureology shampoos last week & expensive conditioners to fight off the damage that store bought boxes of dye are doing to my ends.
My gray is the soft type, so I'm lucky the texture is the same as it was prior to going gray, but it's not thick so I'm always lacking volume (and my hair is thinning.)
I've been using Pureology Volume shampoo & Pureology Hydrate shampoo for one week, alternating them while also trying out different conditioners (Pureology Hydrate & Volume, & Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm).
I re-dyed my hair a week ago, so after daily shampooing and heavy conditioning, I thought I'd clarify with the VO5 just to see what would happen, and got the above-mentioned, unexpected results!
I'm not sure whether all this bounce, volume & shine will continue with daily use, so the jury is out(and will my color fade?). In any case, it's nice to know that once in awhile I can use this & even go without conditioning. If I can use this shampoo daily, big wow.
This has been a huge shampoo/conditioner trial and error week for me. Check out my other reviews to read about my experiences with Pureology Volume and Hydrate shampoos, Pureology Volume Conditioner, & Biolage Conditioning Balm. A real love/hate relationship. (I've since tried the Pureology Hydrate shampoo once, & I liked it, but used conditioner with it, so I need to try it without conditioner to see if it can compete with the VO5)
So my $.99 (at CVS) bottle of VO5 Vanilla Mint shampoo sits proudly next to numerous $28 bottles of Pureology. I will be using the VO5 as much as possible in my daily shampoo routine. I even think that once my Pureology bottles are finished, I might just stick to the VO5, and save $27!
Amazing that just one shampoo with VO5 Vanilla Mint Tea Therapy Clarifying Shampoo gave me all I was hoping for with continual use of Pureology shampoos! (not yet ready to call Pureology a rip-off, but something inside of me is going "hmmm"...)
If you have hair like mine, go get this shampoo and enjoy!
