Young Living brand of oils are food grade which means you can take them internally as well as externally. I have found the fennel oil to help in regulating my blood sugar levels. This is not a cure all for diabetes 2 but I have found it to help me. I was taking medication [not insulin] four times a day and I was up to the highest dose you can take safely per day. I began to take 1 drop of this oil in a glass of water every morning and found that my blood sugar did not spike irratically during the day even after I ate. I originally took it to help in relieving water retention while traveling as fennel is a natural diuretic but found my glucose levels have improved to the point where I am taking less and less of my medication. After two weeks I could cut my meds in half. I do not know if the fennel will work for anyone else but it definitely has sold me. Fennel tastes like licorice and anise so the taste is very pleasant. Fennel also has benefits of being a mild laxative, anti-spasmatic, anticeptic, and killing worms in the intestines. I am told if you have seizures of any kind check with your doctor or do not take at all as people with seizures may find that fennel will interfere with their seizure medication. The bottom line of choosing the Young Living Brand over any other is that most oils you buy are NOT food grade and can only be used as topical which I believe will not work as well.
