These reed diffusers are OK. They don't have quite the diffusion area of some of the open diffusers. I have used others that diffuse over a wider area; also, with this set it is difficult to get aromas that appeal to me and my family (and the cat and dog). Rose and Meyer Lemon are two of our all time favorites. It is very pleasant to enter a room with the faint (not overwhelming) aroma of rose and/or lemon.
