Much more cedar than sandlewood. Reminds me of a lumber yard... in a good way. Its some of the best shaving cream in the world, if price isn't a concern.

I bought this shaving cream for my boyfriend. He's used it a couple of times now, and it is fantastic! He uses a straight razor and ran out of shaving cream right before Valentine's Day. I must say, I wasn't sold on the smell when I opened the tub, but when he uses it it smells wonderful. He only has to use a tiny, tiny bit so it's going to last him forever. It's definitely worth the price! It has also prevented him from getting the little nicks and cuts he used to get. I will definitely buy him another tub when he runs out maybe next Valentine's Day!Buy Castle Forbes Cedar/Sandalwood Shaving Cream 6.8 fl.oz. Now
My experience with the Castle Forbes shaving cream has been very good. It provides great lather for shaving, and the smell is excellent. Quality packaging too. Overall, a great product.Read Best Reviews of Castle Forbes Cedar/Sandalwood Shaving Cream 6.8 fl.oz. Here
Terrific shaving cream, I haven't come across anything close. Pricey, but a little goes a long way. And as my title screams, get rid of those expensive multiblade meat cleavers! You'll save so much that you won't care what any luxury for your face cost. And to put the price in a different perspective, you'll probably get many more shaves per dollar than what you'll get from that canned razor burn.Want Castle Forbes Cedar/Sandalwood Shaving Cream 6.8 fl.oz. Scent QualityI recently bought a good-quality bottle of sandalwood oil (Indian sandalwood Santalum album so it is a small bottle, as it's quite expensive), and, unlike some other reviewers here, I can definitely detect the sandalwood scent in this shaving cream. Cedar has a pungent note to it that is not present in this cream. The cedar scent is there, but the sandalwood rounds it off.
I worked in the lumber section of a large home improvement retail store about 10 years ago, and, though the scent of this cream is woody and strong, I don't think it smells quite like walking through a lumber yard, as has been mentioned in other reviews.
Lather Quality
This cream lathers pretty quickly and is lush. I have to work it a bit harder with my boar brush than with my badger, but that's typical & the boar gets a far more than adequate lather. I've still not found the perfect ratio of water:cream, so it's cushiony but not quite as slick as I'd like. I haven't messed with it enough yet, though, and it still gives a good shave.
