I recently read a posting on Pinterest about taking a "detox" bath. The ingredients for the bath were Epson Salts, baking soda, and an essential oil. I was shopping last week and saw the Dr Teal's product on the shelf and decided to try it.

I must admit that lavender is my favorite scent/essential oil.

I used the product yesterday and it was heavenly! I had intended to soak in the tub for 30 minutes, reading my Kindle. BUT, the scent of lavender was so relaxing that I soaked in the tub for 45 minutes, did not read my Kindle, was not bored, but was in a VERY peaceful-meditative state.

after a long week of cleaning the basement and moving books and shelves my body would be aching in places I soon learned how out of shape I truly am. I just want to go to bed but covered in dust in who knows what else (I usually get calgon, but kmart didn't have my favorite scent; but I saw on the shelf Dr. Teal epsom salt in Lavender flavor the price was very cheap so I got it and placed it on my bathroom shelf)I decided to try Dr. Teal epsom salt and lots of hot water. the smell was very pleasant and soft to my nose I just sat and enjoy the smell for a while, but when I got out I felt wonderful and the soft scent was relaxing, which meant no problem falling asleep. I have told my friends and a few on facebook.

I use Epsom Salts on a regular basis, I love them. I was eager to use this salt because I love Lavender and find it very relaxing as I'm getting ready for bed.

When I opened the bag I almost instantly got a headache. It was a rough day so I thought maybe it was a coincident. The lavender was not quite the scent that I had expected. There was a generic perfumey smell to it. I looked at the ingredients and noticed "fragrance," I had failed to notice this before.

I soaked, and felt good, but the headache remained. The next morning when I opened the bathroom door I was again hit by that "fragrance smell" and headache. I will not be finishing this bag... I will use plain Epsom and add my own essential oils.

I love this stuff..dont take a bath with out it..and it actually does help muscle soreness..I took bath with it and soaked 20 min then the next time skipped it..I really felt the soreness without it..and the smell is sooo relaxing! I am picky about my bath products..I believein life little luxeries and this is one of them!

The fragrance of lavender combined with the soothing Epsom salts just can't be beat for a relaxing hot bath. The price is right, and a single bag lasts quite a long time. We also have tried the other Dr.Teal's soaking solutions and they all work equally as well, however lavender is my favorite!
