I researched what fish is used to produce this product. It's sardines, which is good news, because larger fish are more likely to concentrate toxins in their bodies. This stuff tastes GREAT! Not good enough to pour on a sundae, but good enough that I can take a spoonful without having to wash it down with something else. Originally, the cost was high, and my original review said so. Then the price was reduced, and I updated my review. It's gone WAY up again, so a third and final edit.

My cardiologist recommended this product, and I was able to find it on Amazon at a MUCH cheaper price than at my local Health Foods store. The softgels have no fishy taste or smell at all. I was amazed!! I did notice the smell of lime (it's one of the ingredients) but that is not an offensive smell and it is not a strong smell at all. Once I had been taking the gels for a while, I didn't notice the lime any more. I am super pleased with the Eskimo-3 and will continue to use it!
