I have just read the two reviews for this natural flea and tick defense spray, and I am shocked! The two different reviews about this spray is exactly what happened to my dogs with FRONTLINE FLEA spot-on control application!!! I swear! My mini-pins became very sick with FRONTLINE. One became lethargic and wobbled as if he were drunk and started vomiting. The other min-pin became lethargic and then both of them had burns on their backs, where I had placed the product as instructed. I called FRONTLINE's 800 phone number, only to get an operator instructing me to "take them to a vet"! I received a refund check in the mail a few weeks later. I was not pleased, to say the least. After this episode, I swore to never use the pesticides on any of my animals ever again! I researched and found MERCOLA and their product. I was unsure at first, but as Summer weather approached I decided to try it. First of all, the spray smells GREAT! The dogs don't mind it. I spray them generously on their coat, avoiding their eyes, nose and mouth's. I rub their damp coats to take in the product thoroughly. I spray them on their backs, legs and stomachs and then rub it in, before going out for our daily walks for the first 2-3 days. Thereafter, I only spray them after bathing them, which is usually every 10 days or so.

Honestly, the flea infestation since applying this product has not reappeared. Occasionally, my Cairn Terrier will get a flea here and there, but nothing compared to earlier Summer's! I just bathe her, comb out and fleas and spray her and keep the routine going when needed. I believe the oil's in this product help prevent fleas, fly's and other insects from attacking the coats of my dogs. I hope this helps your dogs, instead of poisoning them with pesticides (as I have done in previous years-because of ignorance). Give it a try, it smells great, and does the trick. Good luck! :)

WE have been using a "spot on" flea and tick product on our cat and this product appealed to me since it is made of "natural" products my preference. The other day I combed a little through our cat's coat and she spent the rest of the day very stressed and "over grooming herself and even wore a patch of fur off her head. We ended up giving her a sponge bath. It is possible that this is a rare case however I thought it should be documented.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! My poor dogs were getting eaten up by the fleas and so I saw the ad for Dr. Mercola's flea spray and when I used it, it only seemed to aggravate the fleas and drive our poor dogs absolutely crazy!! It was so sad to watch and there was nothing we could do about it. SO I thought, "no loss I'll just make good on the 30 day money back guarantee" so thinking I would have no problem getting my money back, they tell me I have to send it back and pay more shipping to get a refund. I'm not going to go through more trouble sending it back and lose more money. Don't get this.
