When it comes to gardening, whatever product I'm going to use, I would like it to be organic. Not only because chemicals and non-organic products, in my experience, tend to have a really unpleasant smell, but more importantly for my health and my animals. I have a cat that gets outside and likes to eat some of the plants. I tried this product because of all the great reviews and it was exactly what I needed for my roses. This product worked fairly well when used often enough and it had a pleasant smell. However, my only complaint is it simply goes too quickly. I have 3 rose plants, only one of which is large and in one spraying a 1/3 of the bottle was gone. In order to prevent fungal spores from traveling the leaves need to be evenly covered. I had to dilute it with water to make the bottle last longer. Also, another thing I might add is that you need to read the directions carefully and use it only in the evening and not in the sun or the leaves will burn.I use this on the aphids that attack my plum tree, honeysuckle vine, and rose bushes. The oil seems to suffocate the nasty buggers to death within 5 minutes, and I haven't yet had a re-infestation in the same year. The plants and other insects that come by later seem no worse for wear.This product works great on black fungus. It is also completely natural and won't harm natural fauna. I used it on a Pindo palm that is a favorite hideaway for anoles (little lizards). I can use it without worrying about harming my little critters.This insecticid soap has really helped improve the look and health of a number of my roses. While this insecticid did not work well with all my roses and most benefited from the applications.
