I squealed like a little school girl when this arrived today! I have heard good things about it, and have been hoping that it will work for me... I've tried other natural deodorants that haven't worked at all Crystal (the roll on, scented wipes, AND the rock), Tom's of Maine (various scents), and Geo Deo. When I first opened the Lavanila, I was surprised at how strong the scent was... it smells like it will really kick some BO butt! It's not overpowering. It is a very pleasant smell... spicy, calming, and warm. The deodorant is a white solid, but it's smooth. Kinda like butter! It goes on beautifully. The barely-there white smudge disappears like magic after a few minutes... and then you'll want to keep smelling your armpits because they smell so darn good. LOL! I'll be sure to write an update on how well this stuff holds up during/after an intense workout.

SUCCESS! I have a very physically demanding job general maintenance at a state park and this stuff kept me from stinking all day, just as well as the high-quality conventional brands. I'm so glad to have found a natural and safe product that actually works!

I am young and don't sweat more than the average woman, maybe even less, and that's why I thought I could try this aluminum free healthier deodorant.

The first thing I've noticed is that even though I really like vanilla, the scent is very unpleasant to me (I guess that's a matter of personal taste), but it does not at all smell like vanilla.

When I first tried to use it, I was at home relaxing over the weekend and it was ok, so I tried going out with it what a mistake!

I went out for a normal day, warm but not too hot, with no exercise and after several hours started feeling myself sweat felt how I had more and more bad body odor. By the end of the day I felt really embarrassed by my bad odor :(

Very disappointed and think I'm gonna try to return it even though I've used it, it's just THAT bad!

If you are reading this then you must be looking for an organic and healthy deodorant, without aluminum and other synthetic ingredients. It's a deodorant and it WORKS! I've already ordered more. I use it in the morning and at night, that's all you'll need.

Aluminum is a metal! It's used in antiperspirants to help block the sweat from escaping the pores. Parabens, a family of synthetic preservatives, are often found in deodorants. Propylene glycol is another common ingredient that is used in antiperspirants and deodorants. This is a petroleum based material that is used to soften cosmetic products due to its slick consistency. It is a cheap way to make skin care products more easily applicable to the skin. Phthalates, another class of chemicals that are often used in deodorants and antiperspirants. They help to dissolve other ingredients and to create a better consistency (a chemical to dissolve the other chemicals?). Triclosan, another common ingredient in commercial deodorants. It is utilized as the odor killing part of antiperspirants for its anti-bacterial properties. Triclosan is actually classified as a pesticide by the FDA.

I absolutely LOVE this deodorant. It is the very best natural deodorant I've ever used. All the other natural deodorants I've tried over the years, always left me smelling worse by the end of the day they never truly worked. This is honestly the only one I've found that works! Now my boyfriend uses it too he loves it!

This is the best deodorant EVER. This trumps clinical protection, gels, etc... I put this on, I NEVER smell underarm odor ever! After working out, etc. I just apply it in the morning and go. I was nervous because this was the first deodorant I've used without an antiperspirant so I still sweat, but NO SMELL!! It's fabulous.

ETS I ended up with contact dermatitis and a yeast infection on my underarms from this product. I took it into my Dr and she said that the ingredients listed are junk and it should taken off the market. I am sad because I liked that it worked, but not if it's going to do this. Healthy deodorant it is not.
