I'm sure this is a fine product. However, I thought I was buying regular old cod liver oil, and the one that I received has a citrus lemony flavor. It tastes better to humans, but I was buying it for my pets, and they don't like it.

Probably my error in not reading enough before ordering.

It's getting so confusing buying cod liver oil nowadays. Emulsified, fermented, double-strength or ultra-pure? Some brands command an exorbitant price that simply can't be justified.

I've read that Nature's Answer Cod Liver Oil is only one of a handful rated "good" and for its price, that's good enough for me. It offers high amounts of everything cod liver oil should provide and is tested for potency and purity (free of lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, PCB's, dioxins and pesticides). I happen to like its lemon-lime flavor, but then again, it's not as tasty as Carlson's or Barleans. For me, content and price are more important than added flavors. It's not the only brand we like or will ever use, but this cod liver oil serves its purpose well.

I ordered this brand of cod liver oil because it is on the recommended list on the Ron A. Price website. I would have preferred if it were not flavored as the flavoring doesn't do anything to make it more palatable.

tastes ok, leaves a fishy aftertaste (what can you expect?). didn't feel any crazy difference in my health, but i'm sure it's a very fine product.
