I'm used to the NOW foods brand, however, they don't sell it any longer. I did put it on my skin and was an acceptable scent after a few moments; however it will change the smell of my blends. The oil arrived in a tinted glass bottle with a white lid, just like the bottle in the internet photo. It smells like I expected it would. The reason I purchased is still uncertain. We are in a lyme tick infested area of Virginia. My dog is a small Maltese who has had larynx surgery so I do not want to put chemicals on her. According to the internet, if I put 10 drops of rose geranium oil with a tsp of almond oil, it should keep ticks off my dog. I made velcro collar out of a tea towel put pockets inside and soaked cotton balls with the oil mixture. My dog wore the collar out side this past weekend. Two weeks ago she picked up 7 ticks in 12 hours without the oils. This weekend with the oil collar on I found only one tick. I add this Rose Gernium Oil in each load of laundry. I put few drops in my liquid detergent, & sum in the vinegar that I use to freshen up my laundry. The laundry that I hang to dry, makes my laundry room smell like a wonderfully aromatic bouquet of roses! I loooove this oil.

This can not be Rosemary. The worst smelling Rosemary I have ever smelt. I am used to Rosemary having a bit of sweetness to it. This one is pure high note tart. This oil smells like rosemary out of the bottle although the scent is more complex and has more of slightly nasty type of wood scent as well. If you place the oil on your skin the "rosemary" scent disappears after a bit (15 minutes) and you are left with this musty, wood smell that was only slightly pungent before. Overall though the oil smells like rosemary and if you dont use it on your skin it smells great.

I chose this rating, because the product delivered, what it described it would. I like the product, because the stress relief scent, does not linger for days. The scent tends to be more apparent, when just sprayed. I tend to spray it, on my pillow and sheets, at night. Therefore, the scent tends to last before and during the initial part of my sleep. Also, the scent is not offensive, but soothing. It took longer then a week, to receive it in the mail, but I would recommend this product, to anyone, who is looking for a stress relief spray.These pillow mist/linen water potions are really nice.
