I have been using this for about a year now and I find it works well I don't perspire heavily, just wanted extra odor control and this takes care of it. BUT the dispenser leaks out the bottom and leaves a big oily mess on the surface it sits on. I have given it a few chances, thinking maybe I had gotten a bad container, but they all leak. When I e-mailed the company to ask if this was going to be addressed, they never replied to me, so I assume it will be an ongoing problem, AND I am irritated that they didn't have the courtesy to reply to me. Won't buy this product again for these two resaons: messy and no customer service.

I find they are all about the same as far as effectiveness, as they tend to have the same active ingredient. So I will usually opt for the best price. Clinical strength products tend to have a fairly high price compared to their "regular" sister products.

Dove Clinical Strength Cool Essentials contains:

Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex GLY (20%) Inactive Ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Microcrystalline Wax, C18-36 Acid Triglyceride, Silica, Fragrance (Parfum), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, and BHT.

The Dove product seems to be as effective as any other. It is about average in price, perhaps a little less than average.

It does not feel sticky when applied, and it doesn't seem to irritate skin. It actually does feel like it moisturizes a little. Probably because it doesn't contain alcohol or similar astringents, and does contain sunflower seed oil. So if applied after shaving, it tends to sooth not sting.

As far as scent, Cool Essentials is pleasant, not overly feminine nor manly, so pretty much anyone can use it.

Overall, it's a nice product. It is no better or worse than any other clinical strength antiperspirant at keeping you dry, but it is probably better at soothing your skin and not irritating it.

The product has been dermatologist tested and the packaging states it does not contain aluminum chloride or alcohols that have been known to cause skin irritation, itching or discomfort even on freshly shaved areas. It glides on smoothly and also has special moisturizers so that it won't dry out sensitive skin. You don't need to use much to get the effect you want and the protection lasts for at least 24 hours. No white marks on dark clothing either!

I also use the Dove Cool Essentials cucumber and green tea scent bar soap in the bath and shower so this item is a nice complement to that to continue that fresh, clean feeling. I normally apply this type of product in the morning, but may try it at night before bed to allow it time to acclimate to my body as suggested on the package. I will definitely buy this product.

This is the best deodorant ever.

I have super sensitive skin and have been using a men's clear gel for a year. I had to reapply it often and it would still leave me a little stinky at the end of the day. Other deodorants have strong, perfumey smells or leave white marks.

This deodorant does none of those things. I apply it once, as directed, and it lasts for a full day (or more!) even after yard work, errands, and a workout! There are no white marks, no burning on my armpits (Even after shaving), just smooth, lightly scented, protection.

This is the best. It's well worth the extra cost to not have to apply a cheaper deodorant 3x a day!

The best thing about this deodorant is that it is a cream, which granted does not last as long as a stick; but I am tired of having clothes that I slip over my head , no matter how careful I try to be, marked with white stains. I use spray deodorant in the summer, but those cold blasts are not very pleasant on cold winter mornings. This cream form solves those problems.

I'm really excited about this skin cream. The color of it is like a golden buttercreme and when I smoothed it on, it felt like I was putting a thin, protective base on my face. It didn't feather on my face like other rich cremes I've tried. I consider this a night creme because it takes a few minutes to absorb into my skin, when it does, my skin feels moist and hydrated. It is quite concentrated, so 1.7 oz. may not sound like much, but this creme will last me a very long time.

Don't let the words on the box scare you. You don't have to have mature, thinning skin to use this product. My advice is to use it before your skin reaches those levels. Age doesn't have to mature your skin, the sun will take care of that. Think of this lush moisturizer as preventive medicine.

The texture of this product reminds me of a rich, expensive, luxurious department store brand. I felt like I was pampering my face and the cheat is that this product is so inexpensive! Upon wakening in the morning, my face feels moisturized. I apply it to my neck and chest as well. These are areas that women often forget about and the next thing you know, they've acquired the 20/50 or 30/60 look, where the face may look somewhat youthful, but one look at the neck and the whole story is revealed.

I will purchase this again. Next on my list is the eye cream.

I purchased this along with Bhrigraj oil in an attempt to aid hair re-growth. I've used it about 2 weeks and I tolerate it well. The tablets are green and uncoated so they start dissolving immediately in my mouth, which is unpleasant. I am hoping that Ayurveda does for my AGA what so far, nothing else has. I've increased my dose to twice daily and will update again in 60 days.

I'm still using this. I can't tell if its helping or hurting. I still have thinning but only on one side, on the other... shedding is still occuring. I'm unsure if ill purchase again. I've reduce my dose back to one a day. I'm just not sure that its this product that is helping at least some sections of my hair. I've taken this for four months and will continue my last 20 days and then decide.

I gave up waiting for this to work for me. I took this for several months and saw no increase in growth or thickness of my hair at all. It actually seems to have increased my hair loss but I can't prove it. I'm disappointed and still searching for answers to my hair loss problem.

Bottom line, this stuff works.

I've been on maximum strength ranitidine/Zantac for several years. As soon as I attempted to skip a dose, it was pretty obvious. It didn't seem to matter if I cut out the carbonated beverages and chocolate, nothing really helped. I initially used the limonene every other day for a few weeks. After that I started going by feel and for the past couple of weeks I've been taking it once every 3-5 days. I'm not certain I'll be able to cut it out totally as others have, but this is such an improvement over twice a day pills. The one downer as others mentioned is the orange burps. I've found they're not pleasant, almost like a soda burp that goes up your nose. But it's worth it. I can't remember the last time I've been this comfortable. I was even able to take medication with a glass of water a couple of hours before bed. In the days of Zantac, I definitely would have felt that in the morning. Not anymore. The only thing left to do is to find a home for the unopened packages of Zantac in the cupboard.

Update I did cut the limonene completely. It's now been several weeks that I've been off both the limonene and ranitidine.

Update May 2012 6 months or so still not taking anything.. no limonene and no ranitidine, and no heartburn/acid reflux. This is so awesome, wish I'd found it sooner!

D-Limonene helped cure my heartburn/reflux!!

After almost 20 years of using acid reducers with my heartburn getting worse and developing into GERD, nothing was working for me. After a lot of research on my part, I learned that most heartburn is not caused by too much acid, but by not enough acid. Also as we age our body may not produce enough digestive enzymes. Digestive enzymes help in the digestion process by helping break down the food and move it through the stomach. I can eat and drink anything I want (except cola) whenever I want as long as I do these things, and as my stomach has improved I do not need to do some of these things as often.

1. Everyday I either drink Apple Cidar Vinegar, Organic Raw Unflavored 32oz or fresh squeezed lemon juice. 1 tbls vinegar in 8 oz warm water or half to a whole lemon in 12 oz warm water. 1 -3x's daily.

2. With every meal I take Betaine Hydrochloride With Pepsin 600mg 250 Tablets 1-2 tablets per meal depending on the amount of protein in the meal. I also use American Health: Chewable Super Papaya Enzyme Plus, 360 tabs with every meal.

3. I stopped drinking cola pop which contains phosphoric acid and switched to a lemon lime pop and drink more water. Research about phosphoric acid and how it competes with your stomach acid and what it does to your stomach.

4.Everyday after my biggest meal of the day I took one Jarrow Formulas D-Limonene, 1000mg, 60-Soft Gels and no more problems at night or while I sleep. Now I take one only every few days. Make sure to take this with a full glass of water so that it gets down fully into your stomach.

I've tried a lot of tummy remedies, including DGL, ginger root and peppermint. . . D-Limonene is by far the most effective. These soft gels are very long but rather thin, so they are not hard to swallow. They do occasionally make me a little burpy, but hey they're orange flavored burps, and orange-flavored breath isn't so bad (especially compared to terrible heartburn). Other brands are less expensive but watch for the # of mgs these are actually the best deal. Take one every-other day for 20 days as a round of treatment. You won't be sorry!

My husband was having almost nightly acid reflux no matter what or how little he ate. Sometimes he was up literally all night trying to get relief; occasionally paying homage to the porcelain god. Just received my tall bottle of Nature Made Triple Omega 3 6 9 Fish, Flaxseed, Safflower & Olive Oils 180ct today. Was surprised by the size of the bottle (guess I didn't expect these pills to be so crazy large. There's only 180 pills in the bottle. You guessed it, the pills are huge! I'll attach a picture in a bit. Look for the pic with the measuring tape. Each pill measures a little over an inch. I'm use to swallowing sometimes 3 pills at once with no problem and this one was hard to swallow. Just letting buyers know incase this might be an issue. I am so impressed with this product.

The night before I massaged this through my hair and tied it in a bun.

The next day I washed and conditioned as normal.

My hair was so silky soft and manageable.

I have very dry, colour treated hair which is very frizzy without a ton of hair products to tame it.

After using this treatment I did not have to add anything else.

It is a fantastic product and I can't recommend it highly enough.

If you use it as a leave in hair treatment, use as instructed, a pea sized amount into the ends of your hair or it will look very oily.

I prefer it as an overnight treatment. A little goes a long way.

First of all I disagree with other reviewers , who are complaining about the smell and stuff.

Remember this is a natural product with less or no chemicals and is meant for the babies more so for that matter.

This works like a charm on my babies gentle skin, we have been applying all over her body since she is 2 months old.

All the other lotions were giving her rashes but this is being so gentle and keeps her skin moisturized.

I use this on my son every morning. It smells great and keeps him soft. Plus is is safe for baby and doesn't contain some of the questionable chemicals talked about in the news that are in regular Johnson and Johnson baby products.

First, I have to thank this company for making this product!

I've had severe chronic eczema skin for nine years, it just came out of nowhere and got worse over time.

Over the years, I've tried Olay, Neutrogena, Sephora endorsed products, Aveeno, and the list goes on from generic pharmacy products to cremes worth over $60 for 2 ounces.

(I found that Earthwise Beauty's Natural Face Moisturizer works, But it was getting too expensive for me. $36 for 3oz)

This product, has worked for my skin. Granted, at first it takes a little to get used to the smell-but the reviews here make it seem like it smells like a pile of dung. WHICH, I believe is complete exaggeration. It has a mild oatmeal smell. Very similar to Aveeno's Daily Lotion.

If the smell is unpleasant, for instance when I had nauseousness, I couldn't stand the smell. I would add a few drops of Organic Virgin Coconut Oil for a pleasant coconut smell. Or on other days, I would have Lavender Oil, or the many others I have. Adding a few drops of oil to this lotion doesn't damage my skin (but be warned that too much of any oil DOES make eczema worse.)

Anyway, I personally love this product. It has served me well through the tough Winter months in Oklahoma. And for those who have severe cases of eczema, try "mixing" your lotions. For my skin I use a mixture of Johnson's Baby Natural Lotion, Petroleum Jelly, Coconut Oil (Extra Virgin), 100% Vitamin E concentrated drops. (in a ratio of about 6:3:2 for the Lotion, Jelly, Oil. The Vitamin E drops are very concentrated so I usually don't go over 15 standard drops of Vit.E per 9oz bottle. [depending on which Vit. E product you buy])

But keep in mind not everyone has the same skin, so what works for me may not work for you!

So over all, maybe it's not the BEST in the world. But certainly it is the best bang for your buck. My skin is as soft as a baby's bottom thanks to this lotion(okay... maybe not that soft.) It may not smell flowery, because it contains little to no fragrance. But, I have no red, angry scales screaming at me in the mirror or itchy, dry, flaky skin anymore!

I purchased few bottles of this item and this is the first time we are having a problem. We just opened one recently about six month after purchase. Unable to use it bc now it is all watery. and Amazon refused to return this defective bottle. when a productive is defective, Johnson and Johnson should take the item back without any penalty.

I use it as a moisturizer day and night using just a tiny bit (sufficient for my whole face). It is not oily at all, immediately penetrates the skin. I absolutely love it and will get many more. It smells like a gentle cocoa, during colder days it becomes solid but in contact with skin/fingers it will melt right away. It did not help me with rosacea but did help with dark spots. Love it!
