I had my doubts when I tasted it for the first time... but it's really been easy to incorporate into my diet! I mix the oil into hummus (homemade or store bought) and eat it with broccoli and red pepper for lunch. I've mixed it into cottage cheese (in theory a great way to absorb the good fats) and while it adds a strong flavor it's fine by the second mouthful. I've used it over salads with some lemmon juice not bad at all. My sister uses it like Olive Oil for dressings anything cold as the good fats break down when you heat it up. I can see a difference in my skin, and hair and I just feel better with this in my diet. I am NOT a health nut! But this has been a painless addition to my life, and I feel great about it!

We use this product on our toddler son to deal with his moderate to severe eczema, and it helps. It does not make the eczema go away completely, but we are getting close to having tried almost every available product, and we have found that a combination of Neosporin Eczema Essentials Daily Moisturizing Cream and CJ's Butter on top of that has been one of the most effective solutions so far.

We turn to medium-strength (class 4) prescription steroids when flare ups become severe and we feel we can't avoid it -when the eczema becomes a significant discomfort for our son. Before our current combination of moisturizers, we had to turn to steroids about every other week for up to seven days at a time to keep his eczema under control and stop his suffering. Now, we turn to steroids only about once a month, for about four days. This is a MAJOR improvement, although we are still hoping to find a silver bullet that will really resolve the problem at the root.

Our results were better with CJ's Butter Plus than with the regular unscented CJ's featured here. CJ's Butter Plus contains neem oil, which has an unpleasant smell. We got used to the smell, but after reading toxicity information on neem oil, which we felt raised real concerns regarding pediatric use, we have discontinued using that product. A shame, but with only a layman's level of understanding of neem oil toxicity we weren't willing to take this risk anymore. Not to mention we also discovered that neem oil contains natural steroids as well, the effects of which we don't have the expertise to judge.

Finally, note that you will probably be much happier with the 12 oz tub than the 4 oz tube. The tube is made of hard plastic and it is VERY DIFFICULT to get the last of the product out. We had to slice our tube in half at the end and scoop it out that way. The tube is a really terrible design and we won't go that way again.

UPDATE 8/18/2012: We still use CJ's on occasion, especially as our son has started getting more traditional diaper rashes lately. However, we are using much less than previously. We are having great success with Earth Mama Angel Baby Oil. We use this on our boy right after a five-minute bath in lukewarm water every day. Oil straight on the skin without drying him off. Then after the oil, we use the Neosporin Daily Moisturing Cream mentioned above. We haven't had to use steroids for a few months now with this combination. Still like CJ's, but we are now lower-volume customers.

This is the best. It really does do everything from my daughter's bottom to my son's eczema to my husband's rosacea. It helped after an abdominal surgery I had and really helped the scarring. This cream really does work. We use it on our twins that are in cloth and it really helped heal up a rash we were dealing with, and we had an issue with some build up from the last cream in our diapers, and this didn't do that at all. I love the smell, but the texture is a little different than anything I am used to, its grainy and then starts to melt as you put it on, so if you are used to thick creams like desitin, this will feel nothing like that on your fingers. Don't let that turn you off from using it, though, it's a great product and I will be buying again!

Just received this product quick delivery! However, all instructions and comments on the box/bottle are in RUSSIAN! Who knew...not me! I found an online russian keyboard and then translated it with Google translator to get the directions.

I tryed this among many other products to prevent hair-loss, that in my case is caused by things like stress, diet and hard training.

I cant say this did so mutch for me, i cant either say i had the patience to use it the right way (no english manual)

For me i found other products later that really worked wonders on me...like "jamaican black castor oil" and "alter ego garlic treatment",

I've used AoS' after shave balm for many years without any problems, but I decided to try the ocean kelp because I liked the smell. This is one time when I wish that AoS had a more liberal return policy!

It's completely different from the traditional balm. You have to use a TON of it (at least 10-12 squirts) and it absorbs impossibly fast. I'm giving this three stars because of the smell and the fact that I think the fast absorbtion might actually be a GOOD thing in hot weather (as the balm can, admittedly, bet a little runny). I received this after shave as a gift, I do not usually use after shave balms because they tend to break me out and make me feel greasey, but AoS Ocean Kelp absorbs quickly and evenly and keeps my face smooth and soft without causing me to break out. The scent is awesome and the balm is soothing. Unfortunately the price tag is unacceptably high. I would have no issues buying this balm if it were priced $10-$15 cheaper, but at its current MSRP, even though it's a quality product, I won't be buying this balm again.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I got my hands on this to give to my wife, but she had no interest in changing brands. So I tried it myself. . .and I like to sweat.

I followed the directions (yes as a man I do that on occasion), and put it on before bed, right after a shower. The next morning I went for a 30 minute bike ride to meet up with some friends. Sitting around the table I didn't feel like was smelling my usual stinky gym body, which I figured my friends appreciated too.

Another 45 minute bike ride home and I still felt pretty good and not overly stinky. When looking at my armpits, the product is still there in full strength. Thus, 1.25hrs of bike riding didn't "wash" it away with the sweat like it does with many other products.

The cucumber/green tea scent is very pleasant. My wife commented on how it smelled "too good" to be deodorant and would make a nice perfume. The scent does make one feel fresh and clean, as advertised.

I do think it's a joke how this is advertised as "Dove's famous 1/4 moisturizers, it soothes and conditions skins". You are putting this on your armpit for goodness sakes. Really? Do people need a lot of moisturizing in that high sweat area? Seems kinda a waste. Then again, this is where we men forget how much we love a woman's smooth skin and all the work many of them go through to get it that way. So take this comment with a grain of salt, please.

The dispenser is a rounded top with a circle of grooves that the product comes up through when twisting the bottom of the dispenser. Most of the time, only one of the holes would get product coming out and I never knew if it was enough. I'd twist, get a small smudge, twist some more and no additional product would come up, so I'd apply hoping it was enough. I just didn't like the dispenser at all.

The biggest issue I have is it is only 1.7oz.

That is ridiculously expensive, when most major brands are $4 or less for 1.5-2.0 oz. dosages. In a time when, thanks to gas prices, everyone is getting more cost sensitive, I'm not sure a lot of people will see if there is truly a value here. This is the main reason for a decrease in a star rating.

OVERALL:

The product smells really nice and stays with you even after a workout.

You just have to ask yourself, is the cost benefit of using a different, cheaper brand 2 to 3 times a day going to outweigh the cost of this product?

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The scent sold me initially. My regular powder-scent deodorant was no longer available, so I went sniffing for a new one. I hate heavy scents, and have allergies, so pretty much anything floral is out of the question.

After sniffing dozens of deodorant containers (I'm sure I looked like a crazy person), this was the only one I really liked.

The lotion-style product is delivered through a series of small to larger holes in the top of the container. The directions say two clicks is all you need, so that's what I used although it sure didn't seem like much, and once I put it on, I couldn't feel it at all. No wet or sticky feel whatsoever!

The first day out, I really put this deodorant to the test. It was 95 degrees out, and we were riding motorcycles through some pretty rough conditions. Dust and dirt, wind and sweat. To make matters worse, I was wearing a body armor shirt notorious for sucking the stink out of anyone!

That night we got to our campsite and I warily took a sniff at my shirt. Nothing but the original light scent. Wow. My old deodorant wouldn't have passed this test, that's for sure.

It's amazing to me that with the same 'active ingredient' in most deodorants, some still work so much better than others. This one definitely works for me!

After months of using this product, I can say I am extremely happy with it! I am still on my first container of deoderant, so it lasts as long as 'regular' stick styles.

Sometimes deoderants stop working for me, or cause an allergic reaction after a few months, the Dove Clinical Protection is still working as well as it did the first day I used it.

Again, a great product that stands the test of time!

Don't just wipe it off with a paper towel, break out those Clorox Wipes or other bathroom cleaners and clean it thoroughly. What I unfortunately discovered is that when I'd thought I'd cleaned up the foam thoroughly when it hit my bathroom counter, a few minutes later the dyes showed up and stained my bathroom counter. Now I've used other dyes and been able to wipe up stray flecks/drops/dollops/etc of hair dye of varying amounts and not had it smear all over the counter like this did. I swear it looked like I'd gotten it all up, but this hair dye seems to stain easily with even just the most minute of amounts.

While this means great things for your hair (yay for no resistant greys!), it also means that you have to go that extra-extra-extra mile when it comes to countertops, floors, and skin. This dye will go everywhere, even without you realizing it. I'm still trying to figure out how I managed to get this on my stomach when I didn't feel any drop on it and I didn't touch my stomach while applying the dye, so buyer beware. This is not a hair dye for clumsy people unless you're well prepared. (I'll be aware for next time.)

Other than that, this is actually a pretty decent hair dye. The chemical scent is pretty strong, but nothing that would knock even the hardest person on their back. People with weak stomachs or who are very susceptible to chemical odors might want to exercise caution. Once you get used to it, it's not so bad but you will want a lot of ventilation while you're applying this dye.

Now for the best part: The after feeling feels amazing for freshly dyed hair. Even on the first day of dying, my hair felt incredibly soft. This I chalk up to the incredibly good conditioner packaged with the product. I've been a fan of Garnier Nutrisse, so this is actually enticing me back to the shampoo and conditioner products they put out. (I'd stopped using for a while since I fell for the Clear shampoo & conditioner, but this is some pretty good stuff.)

This isn't a perfect hair dye and it's a bit of a pain to apply for the reasons stated above, but the end result seems to really be worth it. (And isn't it the end result that we're *really* interested in?)

If you're looking for an almost black without getting goth I HIGHLY recommend this color. It's a very natural, almost black, dark brown. It's as black as a someone of western european descent can naturally get. Fantastic Color.

I agree with everything the poster before me said about making sure to cover everything as it will stain. I also lost A LOT of hair when I used this. Way more than I'm used to losing in the shower and such. And it just kept falling and falling and falling out. I was seriously freaked out. I still sorta am although the hair loss seems to have slowed.

The color was nice though.
