Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I had already tried the Febreze regular diffusers (i.e., the gray ones), and I liked how they were so simple to set up and refill plus provided a good amount of scent. The "Sleep Serenity" line actually sounded like it would be nice for my workout room, where I prefer softer scents.
When I first set this diffuser up in my workout room in the basement, I thought I wanted the scent to be strong, so I opened the diffuser slightly. That is one nice feature of these Febreze diffusers--opening or closing the diffuser allows you to adjust the amount of the scent. The "Quiet Jasmine" is a pretty, subtle floral, although it was a bit too strong for my liking when I had the diffuser open wider. (However, this may have just been because the product was brand-new, as since I've closed it again, the scent is much less noticeable.)
I really like these Febreze diffusers much better than other scent products. They are easy to use, look attractive (the dark blue color actually fades into the background pretty easily), have the advantage of not requiring a plug, and can be easily refilled with different scents. I would definitely recommend his product.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This isn't a plug-in, nor does it require batteries. It's just a small plastic holder into which you insert a little bubble pack of scent. I like simple. I have enough stuff plugged into outlets and power strips around my bed, so this was a welcome non-powered addition.
The scent is quite nice, light jasmine, and not too strong. This is, after all, a BEDSIDE diffuser, intended to be used on the nightstand, not a room diffuser (Febreze makes those and they look completely different and are much stronger). The scent is gentle, and non-intrusive.
Unfortunately, there's something in it that I'm allergic to, as it triggered a coughing fit. I have this problem sometimes with certain scents and cleaning products, so unless you have a similar set of allergies, you'll probably be fine with this.
It's too bad, really, because I really do like the gentle jasmine scent! I may try one of the other scents, just to see if my reaction is specific to the Quiet Jasmine. I'm still giving it 4 stars because I love the design and function.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program AT FIRST, this actually did seem to have a slightly magical effect that the smell was relaxing. Can that make you sleep better? The smell isn't overwhelming. I just occasionally catch a whiff of it if I wake up to roll over or get in or out of bed, but then I have it on the bookcase headboard right over my bed. Not sure if you kept it across the room if you would notice it. It's just a little liquid pouch that snaps into a plastic holder.
Weeks later: I just want to complain now that I can't find where you can just buy refills for your holder, you have to buy the hard plastic case every time, and it is not a recyclable plastic, so I am subtracting a star for that. What a waste, having to throw out the plastic holder every time to sit in a landfill forever and ever.
And the second one I bought, I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but it doesn't smell like anything.
Weeks later: I subtracted all the stars I could. The two I bought after the free sample I reviewed never smelled like anything at all, and the plastic holder is not recyclable and I still haven't found any refills.

I have other Febreze units at home but the Febreze Sleep Serenity Bedside Diffuser, Set & Refresh, Quiet Jasmine has a smell that is just delightful for falling asleep to.
I can't believe I am giving a smelly unit 5 stars and Highest Possible Recommendation but I have to because it deserves it!!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The idea of using scents to mask unpleasant odors is an old one in human cultures. Febreze is trying to find a new niche for its products with this "Bedside Diffuser". If you like the scent of fresh laundry that's been washed with Febreze, then you have an idea of what this is supposed to smell like. There are several scent choices I've just used the Quiet Jasmine.
The way this is supposed to work is simple enough you don't have to plug it into an electric outlet. Just insert the scent cartridge into the holder and a plastic flange inside presses against the back, enough to let the liquid inside slowly seep out. There's a tray that runs directly underneath it, so as the scent liquid seeps out, it spreads out on the tray and slowly evaporates. Place the holder where you would like the scent to emanate from. That's it.
A few caveats. This may be too subtle it doesn't spread the scent very strongly, at least not in my experience. That may be the point for something that is supposed to be placed near a pillow. Something stronger might be overpowering over the course of a night's sleep.
I also suspect this would not be a good product to use around small children. I'd worry about them getting into the cartridge. Several of the other reviews stated that it caused allergic reactions, so that's something to keep in mind as well.
All in all, I can't get too enthusiastic about this. It's a nice idea and what scent there is is pleasant enough, but I can live without it.
