As the gal who has broken the bank in trying every hair product on earth, I was very surprised at how well this conditioner worked at moisturizing, taming and separating my coarse curls. It's pretty rare when I don't have to slather on a leave in or another concoction or 2 after showering but this stuff does the job. And do you know why? It's the high quantity of Shea Butter used, plain and simple. A little ole vitamin rich ingredient which in and of itself is very inexpensive, so it's hard to justify the price of this conditioner. Considering I have very long and thick hair this doesn't go a long way for me, so shelling out over $20 bucks for the FF doesn't seem like I'm getting my money's worth. Other than price, the biggest issue I have with this product are the other ingredients; it's a looong list, most of which just seem unnecessary and certainly don't benefit the hair (why is fragrance so high on the list? I'd like to know if its artificial or not). And while I give major props for the addition of Silk, Almond and Wheat protein, the quantities are pretty low, sigh.
So if your independently wealthy by all means, use and purchase away. Otherwise, get yourself some pure organic Shea Butter, melt it and treat your hair, then wash it out and you will get the exact same results, trust me.

I purchased the Frederic Fekkai Moisturizing Conditioner with Shea Butter recently and just used it for the first time. I shampooed first with the shampoo product, also with shea butter; and then followed with this conditioner. The result was unbelievable (tangle free hair, shiny and easy to style and blow dry). This time I only used the shampoo and the conditioner and did not use any styling mousse and still it came out great (in a lot less time) than it normally takes me.My hair is fine, long with blond highlights and in the humidity it can tend to frizz or grow curly if I am not careful. It can be weighted down by heavy products and begin to look greasy if the product line is too loaded with the wrong type of conditioners. I was worried that this product line might be too heavy for my fine hair though it is ultra dry on the ends, color treated and can be unruly if there is high humidity. But I thought I would give it a try because I love products with shea butter and I thought my hair could use the moisture. One thing that is interesting, that the Frederic Fekkai people told me, is that one cause of frizz in color treated hair is the lack of moisture in the hair follicles themselves which can be caused by simply color treating your hair or if you perm it, blow dry it often or even use hair straightening irons. If you condition properly your hair follicles will not have as many problems with the humidity. It is really the dryness of the hair itself that can make for a bad hair day when you step out into the humidity. The tube states that the product is for ultra-dry, thick or unruly hair. I felt that my hair fit two of those categories; but not the third; therefore the initial reason for my skepticism.
Shea butter comes from a tree: the Karite tree. The Karite tree produces nuts. From these nuts, fatty acids are extracted. The reason why my hair does not feel weighted down is that the moisture comes from these fatty acids while other conditioning products use vegetable based butters. Fekkai feels that these fatty acids are superior to the vegetable based ones. This conditioner belongs to Fekkai's ultra moisturizing family of products and also includes sweet almond protein so it smells terrific.
I found that this product left my hair with no tangles whatsoever, it felt silky and smooth even while wet. When dry, my hair was smooth, shiny and frizz free.
Make sure you follow the directions on the tube for optimal results. I used the moisturizing shampoo with shea butter first, followed by this conditioner. I was able to comb the conditioner through my hair with my fingers. The results were so dramatic that I had no tangles. The directions suggest combing the conditioner through your hair. Then,I rinsed it thoroughly with COOL water (as stated); and I was pleased with the results. My hair feels clean and sleek and my scalp does not feel oily at all (my scalp being one of my main concerns). I tend to get an oily scalp with dry ends.
I will try other products by Fekkai after this experience.

My hair is fine and sometimes dry, sometime oily and slightly damaged. I like this conditioner because it moisturizes my hair without weighing it down. My hair is medium length. A little of this conditioner goes a long way, which is great, the bottle lasts me about 4 months. This is the second time I purchased it and I love the shampoo too!Read Best Reviews of Fekkai Shea Butter Moisturizing Hair Conditioner 8 Fl Oz Here
Somehow my mom got a hold of a bottle of this, she has short oily hair and she didn't need it, so she gave it to me. I had not done much with it until last night when I tried it with a bottle of Dumb Blonde Shampoo by Bedhead (for treated or damaged hair). I'm mixed and have very, very, very, tight spiral curls which always look god-awful when they dry (a mixture of flat wave and big S-curls and spirals...blah). Needless to say I always flat iron my hair or relax it. Anyway, last night I hoped in the shower brushed my hair out with the shampoo. Yes, technically you are not suppose to do that but I find it's the only thing that gets all the dirt out and down to the roots on the first pass, why waste lots of shampoo on thick, curly, dry hair? I washed it out well. Then I put in quite a bit more conditioner then that bogus quarter sized they always tell you, brushed that in, hopped out of the shower, clipped my hair up and put a shower cap on it, sit for 5 minutes, brushed it again, added some Avon Advance Techniques Extra Strength Dry Ends Serum on the ends and the roots (they had been looking dry), brushed it all several more times so it would coat my hair and have time to sink it. then washed it out. Put my hair up in a towel for a 5 minutes, let the curls air dry and man! They were beautiful!!! Less so the next day when I slept on them but still. I'm 25 and I have never seen anything work this well on my curls. Some lady before was complaining about the price, I'm not rich, but look sweetheart if something works like everyone else promises to but never does, it is worth the money you save on not having to buy all the other junk that does not work. Also, who has time to melt organic shea butter? Really!?Anyway, I had to search for this to make sure that it was still around and available, I'm not shocked it's $23, not when I think of all the money hundreds if not thousands of bucks I've spend on hair products. I'm just glad like so many things I start to love that they have not discontinued it or "improved the formula", if it work leave it the H alone! Somethings do not need improvement.
In short though, "Thank you, Frederic FekkaiHair Savior".

My hair is always dry and stressed from the sun, wind and sea, so most of my conditioners are masks, deep treatments or leave-ins. This one is the best "fast" conditioner to make hair soft, sweet smelling and manageable after applying and combing through, leave on for 2-3 m ins.
