My autistic 8 year old has been taking this brand of Omega 3 for 6 months now and I have to say that he has made tremendous progress in both verbal communication and minimized stimming. It has always been difficult to give him the proper dosage because most of the other omega 3 liquids taste awful. So we were forced to give less than the recommended dose.

Because the Dr. Sears tastes good, I can give him the dosage he required.

I just bought a bottle of this to try with my kids (one just under three and one 15 months old). I've tried other kid/baby DHA and DHA/EPA supplements (both from Dr. Sears and Nordic Naturals) with good results with the older kid but less luck with the 15 month old.

So far they both like this. I've tried it myself and it's really doesn't have a fishy taste (pretty much all liquid fish oil claim this but this is the first time it's been true). It has a very mild sweet lemon flavor to it. Not exactly something I'd go out of my way to eat but not unpleasant. The flavor is mild enough that it should be easy to mix with yogurt or oatmeal if the kids get tired of it. This is the third Dr. Sears supplement I've tried and so far I'm pretty happy with his products. If you're kid is over two or three years old you may prefer the chewable fish oil soft gels less hassle than spooning it in. I don't really care for the soft gels but my older kids loves them (and that's all that counts).

This is the first fish oil supplement that my three kids will take without a fight. The first couple times took some getting used to, but after that, they just know it is part of the daily routine and they enjoy it. I was told that fish oil could really help kids with asthma, so far my daughter does not even cough in the night any more. I highly recommend this. We subscribe and get a bottle every month, I have searched and cannot find a better price.

I agree with the other reviewers that the taste is not fishy at all, and easy enough to get my daughter to take it in some juice. But it seems to leave behind this horrible fishy smell on anything porous. Several soft plastic sippy cups now have an unpleasant lingering fishy odor. So do many of her clothes, after going through the wash with a bib that was soaked with this liquid.

Still a great way to get omega fatty acids into your kids, but it's unfortunate that we're now stuck with this stink.

My toddler loves this! She hates anything that tastes and/or smells fishy but they did a pretty good job masking that here. She actually opens her mouth every time I give her this! Yay!
