We are slowly switching all of our household products over to Earth friendly versions and at the beginning of the summer we changed out our laundry soap. This was a huge deal for us because I have severe skin allergies that take extra caution and care when it comes to our soaps. After days and days of research we decided to try Ecos because it was available at most of our local supermarkets and at Sam's Club, but it was also available on Amazon. We also liked the ingredient list and the reviews. The price was a perk as well. Our old detergent, Big Name Smelly Brand, costs 19.28$ for 88 loads of laundry while Ecos is just 13.98$ for 252 loads an excellent deal locally!After using Ecos for only a week we noticed a huge change in our clothing. Everything smelled like clean clothes where before everything smelled like a manufactured mountain stream dipped in a chemical laced spring breeze. Our clothes smelled horrible! Big Name Smelly Brand was stuffed full of nasty, horrible stuff that was rubbing off on our skin. Yuck!
We don't use the dryer very often so most of our clothing comes out of the washing machine and hangs on the line to dry and we don't have a problem with clothing that is stiff or "hard" as one reviewer complained and we don't use any fabric softener. For stains I use BioKleen Bac-Out or I just dab an extra dot of Ecos on the spot and let it sit overnight and wash as usual.
